    2014 PHILIPPINE TOURISM CONVENTIONSeptember 2-3, 2014Cuneta Astrodome

    I-

    Event: Philippine Tourism Convention 2014

    The Department of Tourism in cooperation with ABS CBN, Batangas

    Provincial Tourism Council, and the City Government of Tanauan will be

    holding the 2014 Philippine Tourism Convention with a theme, Philippine

    Tourism Milestones through ASEAN Integration.

    The said convention will be held on September 2-3, 2014 at the Cuneta

    Astrodome, Pasay City. The 2 day activity will focus on the current issues of

    Philippine Tourism. The activity is also in accordance with the DOTs

    preparation for the upcoming ASEAN Summit in 2015.

    II- Convention Theme:Philippine Tourism Milestones through ASEAN

    Integration

    III- Objectives of the Convention :

    a. To raise the awareness of Hospitality and Tourism students and

    practitioners regarding the objectives of the Department of Tourism in its

    preparation for the Upcoming ASEAN Summit 2015

    b.

    To update Hospitality and Tourism students and practitioners regardingthe milestones of Philippine tourism

    c. To inform the Hospitality and Tourism students and practitioners of their

    opportunities to find employment in various divisions of labor that are

    common across various sectors of tourism in member countries
