UPDATE ON MEMBERSHIP PCP Bicol Chapter is composed of the following member provinces: Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Masbate, Sorsogon and Catanduanes As of March, 2014, PCP Bicol Chapter is composed of 145 members: 58 Fellow/Full Members , 23 Diplomates and 62 Members. III. RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAMS PCP Bicol has 3 Internal Medicine Residency Training Programs under its jurisdiction: 1. BICOL MEDICAL CENTER Chair: JULIUS CO-SORIANO, MD, FPCP Training Officer: ELOISA E. PORNILLOS, MD, FPCP Training Residents: 11 2. BICOL REGIONAL TRAINING AND TEACHING HOSPITAL Chair: LORNA WONG, MD, FPCP Training Officer: EDBERTO GENERAL, MD, FPCP Training Residents: 3. MOTHER SETON HOSPITAL Chair: ABIGAIL T. ABONAL, MD, FPCP Training Officer: JOSE MANUEL RANOLA III, MD, FPCP Training Residents: 4 IV. MEETING On July 27, 2014, a general meeting was held at Avenue Plaza Hotel, Naga City and 45 members at- tended. Outgoing Chapter President Dr. Mary Ann Roa presented the major events of the past year fol- lowed by the Financial Report of Dr. Rosemen Fernando. Plans for 2014 was also discussed which in- clude fund raising activities, HERO program, membership update and participation. V. COMMITTEE ORGANIZATION With the main objectives of organizing the Chapter consistent with the National set-up; and generating specific objectives and programs per Committee, Standing Committees were formed/updated for the fiscal year.

c. PCP Regional Quiz Contest Held at Makati Medical Center on December 2014. Residents of the three accredited training institutions participated and contestants from Bicol Med ical Center was awarded 2nd place. d. Test Construction Workshop Held on February 7, 2015 at Villa Caceres Hotel and attended by 24 con- sultants from Bicol Medical Center, Mother Seton Hospital and Bicol Re- gional Teaching and Training Hospital. B. COMMUNITY ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES / ADVOCACY PROGRAMS a. Health Education Reform Order (H.E.R.O) A series of lectures was conducted at Camarines Sur National High School and Carolina National High School in Naga City. Lecture on the Effects of Smoking and Drug addiction was also done in addition to the HERO modules
Breast Cancer Awareness Month In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month last October 2014, lectures and free breast examination was conducted at SM Naga City.
d. Health Crisis Preparedness and Management Committee Mayon Volcano’s alert status was at Alert Level 3 last October 2014. In coo- peration with the HEMS in Bicol Regional Training and Hospital, a medical team organised by PCP Bicol was on call to be deployed to the evacuation centers for medical assistance. C. PARTICIPATION IN PCP WORKSHOPS/MEETING 1. PCP Caravan Meeting in Southern Luzon held at Taal Vista Hotel on November 8, 2014. The chapter president and chair of the 3 PCP- accredited IM training institutions in Bicol attended this caravan meeting. 2.
