“Presidio gave me an excellent opportunity to transition effectively from the non-profit sector to the for-profit sector. I didn’t have hard skills like finance, accounting and economics, things I felt I needed to be effective in the for-profit world.”

Innovation in Sustainability140 new sustainable products… and counting.

Like most management schools, we emphasize innovation and entrepreneurship, even for our MPAs.

But for us, it’s not just a trend. There’s a deeper purpose — creating a more just, prosperous, and sustainable world. From wireless EV charging stations, to commercial greywater systems, to social impact bonds, our students design, prototype, and evolve new sustainable products and services for both commercial and government use.

Innovation also requires inspiring others to follow your lead. Whether you plan to join an existing company or to start your own, we provide you with best-in-class interpersonal and implementation training to get things done.

You won’t just be employable.

The Presidio Graduate School ExperienceDigital. Active. Connected. Human.

Sustainability in every course. We teach every course with a sustainability lens. Our integrated curriculum is based around three pillars: business / public administration fundamentals, leadership development, and sustainable systems thinking. You’ll become a ninja in all three.

You never walk alone.Driven by our sustainability principles, we work hard at creating a true learning community. Our faculty and student body believe that intractable problems only get solved through collaboration. This creates a vibrancy and engagement in the classroom that has to be seen to be believed.

A flexible format. Our hybrid in-person / online format allows you to attend full time (4 courses per semester) or part time (2 courses). You can even fly in each month for residency at our San Francisco classrooms. Many of our students keep their jobs while going to school.

An extraordinary location.Experience San Francisco, the world’s foundry for private and public sector innovation. It also happens to be one of the most beautiful and stimulating cities in the world.

Extra-curricular excellence.Student-driven activities outside the classroom rival the intensity inside the classroom. From service trips to Chile, to our Presidio Presents speakers series, to our 12 sustainability-related student clubs, our students and faculty are out there making things happen.

“I wanted a program where the professors had real-world experience and a school that taught something other than antiquated business theories. It takes a larger stakeholder group to make anything happen, and inevitably, it’s going to involve both the public and private sectors. This program gave me the language to communicate between the two.”
