Collect
Almighty and everlasting God,
increase in us your gift of faith
that, forsaking what lies behind
and reaching out to that which is before,
we may run the way of your commandments
and win the crown of everlasting joy;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
First Reading – Isaiah 45.1-7 (page 731)
Second Reading – 1 Thessalonians 1.1-10 (page 1186)
Gospel – Matthew 22.15-22 (page 990)
Post Communion Prayer*
We praise and thank you, O Christ, for this sacred feast:
for here we receive you,
here the memory of your passion is renewed,
here our minds are filled with grace,
and here a pledge of future glory is given,
when we shall feast at that table where you reign
with all your saints for ever. Amen.

breakout Medecins Sans Frontieres
has appealed on television and
personal letters to us in the Branch
here for as much as we could raise in
an emergency appeal, so I have
arranged this Bring and Buy Cake Stall
with raffle. Folk have already phoned
to try to help. We will try very hard
to answer their desperate appeal.
Please help in any way you can,
personally or donations in kind.
Cheques made out to Medecins Sans
Frontieres, what ever the amount or
sum will be greatly appreciated.
Yvette Nicolle-Anderiesz.
2:00pm – BRAUNSTON BLOKES
CLUB (BBC)
All Saints Braunston
Meet at the churchyard at 2:00pm to
do a tidy up of the churchyard paths,
hedges and headstones. A great way
to work off those summer pounds!!!
Followed by a late afternoon
recuperative pint (and planning
session for future meetings) in the
Blue Ball once the work is done!
Come armed with work boots, spade
and gloves. We hope to have someone
to instruct us in the ancient art of hedge
weaving so it should be a great
afternoon. The BBC will normally meet
one Sunday evening per month from
October through to May at the Blue Ball,
the group agenda is loosely linked to
Braunston Church and the Blue Ball, its a
great opportunity to get to know more
people and help out around the village.
For more information contact Rob
Anderson 774388, Jon Butler 345035
or Alan Rudge 755570.
