NRFP-2 Project

Project: Digital X-ray

Academic partner: Acreo

Page 7OHB SWEDEN AB Commercial in confidence

Excellent results from NRFP-2 project

Use of digital X-ray has been qualified and implemented in our

production process

Page 8: Peter Rathsman CTO, OHB Sweden AB - LTU

NRFP-2 Project

Project: High Performance Electric Propulsion ADN research

Academic partner: KTH Chemistry

Page 8OHB SWEDEN AB Commercial in confidence

Status: Theoretical results and early

injector tests look very proimising.

Thruster performance tests to be

performed in OHB-Swedens vacuum

chamber Jan/Feb 2015

NRFP-2 Project

Use of GPS in GTO and GEO

Academic partner: KTH – Automatic control

Page 9OHB SWEDEN AB Commercial in confidence

Status: Use of GPS in GEO and GTO has been

confirmed. The project has generated a software

simulator which is extensively used in on-going

telecom projects at OHB Sweden.

NRFP-2 Project

Impact on GNSS Receivers from Hall Thruster Engines

Academic partner: LTH – Rymdteknik

Page 10OHB SWEDEN AB Commercial in confidence

Status: Study has confirmed feasibility of using GNSS during EP firing.

Specific test campaign will be performed in RUAG-A end 2014.

NRFP-2 Project

Vacuum compatibility of Piezo-electric actuators

Academic partner: Uppsala Universitet / Piezomotor AB

Page 11OHB SWEDEN AB Commercial in confidence

Status: Two rounds of testing

have been performed at Uppsala

University. Good performance has

been reached in High Vacuum, but

not yet in Ulta-High Vacuum.

NRFP-2 Project

Vison-based navigation for rendezvous with non-cooperative targets

Academic partner: KTH – Automatic control

Page 12OHB SWEDEN AB Commercial in confidence

Status: Study has provided algorithms which so far have been tested on

PRISMA test bench. Actual rendezvous attempt with PRISMA not possible.
