Sports Leaders and Dance Leaders – LEVEL 1
The Physical Education Faculty would like to draw your attention to an exciting opportunity for you to take part in two courses to achieve Level 1 Sports Leaders
Awards. Aston Comprehensive School have been running the Community Sports Leaders Award
for a number of years and have achieved great success from the students who participate. This year Level 1 Dance Leaders Award will be piloting too.
The Level One Sports Leaders Award is a nationally accredited scheme which seeks to equip participants with sports leadership skills and then encourages them to put these
skills into practice by leading sporting events, practices, schemes etc. Past Sports Leaders have commented on how the scheme has been a positive inclusion on their CV,
aiding them during post 16 courses and has also been a very rewarding experience.
The cost of training has been heavily subsidised by the school, however there is a charge for each course. The course fee for the Community Sports Leaders Award will be
£10 and the course fee for the Dance Leaders Award will be £15.
