Cetco is unique in that we can mobilise tried and proven temporary mobile modular DNV produced water packages, enabling immediate environmental, productionand revenue ben�ts; while the new plant is under construction, which can take up to 2 years from initialconcept to commissioning. This can also be useful for short �eld life, late �eld life, shutdown avoidance andearly production.

Compact Flotation Vessels

CrudeSep Produced Water Treatment System for high-e�ciency removal of oil, gas and solids. CrudeSep is an unparalleled technology which separates oil, water, gas,and solids at variable �ow ranges. Based on application of�uid dynamics, the CrudeSep is a novel technology whicheliminates the dependency on gravitational separationproli�c in traditional methods.

The inlet and outlet are located at the bottom of the vessel. The whole body of water is directed in a controlledvertical �ow pattern towards a primary interface wheredroplets break out and accumulate. The return �ow interacts with a series of specially engineered interfaceswhich encourage swirling eddies to form. These forced eddy currents propel the oil droplets towards additionalgas interface surfaces for breakout and collection. Oilaccumulated on these surfaces combines to form much larger oil droplets which join the main body of �ow. Theseare now of a signi�cantly larger size and interact with theinitial interface at the top of the �uid column.

The vessel also works as a degassing unit as entrained gas will break out and be released with the separated oil particles. Solids and heavier particles will accumulate atthe bottom of the vessel to be �ushed out on an intermittent basis.

ConsultancyFluid Process & Optimisation Study (FPOS) Cetco have a long history of produced water experience including analysis, optimisation and treatment. The standard approach for this kind of problem is to carry outthe process pro�le (FPOS) survey in an objective and scienti�c manner. The FPOS report can then be used to further inform product selection and CAPEX/OPEX decision making. Cetco draws on substantial industry experience to optimise existing plant before testing andrecommending technologies. Our objective is to informbest available technology/best environmental practice (BAT/BEP) for produced water treatment and discharge, keeping operators ahead of regulatory trends requiring a risk based approach (RBA) to whole e�uent toxicity (WET).

Nutshell media is a resilient media utilising a high �ux rate to remove both oil and oil-wet solids. With a deep media bed channelling is eliminated. Backwashing the media easily removes oil and solids from the vessel.Pneumatic or electrically actuated valves control the vesselfunctions automatically via skid PLC or facility DCS. Flowrates of up to 50,000BWPD per vessel are easily handled.

Cetco’s CrudeSorb Filters are a proprietary adsorption media, based on resin, polymer and clay technolgy, proven to be extremely e�cient at removing oil and soluble organics from water. It is used for the removal of hydrocarbons from wastewater streams to allow �uids tobe discharged directly and safely into the environment. The CrudeSorb equipment has been a fundamental partof Cetco’s Water Treatment Services since the company’s inception.

Cetco’s GAC Filters are primarily used to remove organicmolecules from aqueous solutions. For this reason carbon GAC is more e�ective than CrudeSorb on compounds with higher solubilities. GAC is used as a polishing media. Inlet concentrations might normally be <10 ppm of a target compound. GAC is often capable of polishing to ppb andeven ppt levels, if there is adequate contact time. GAC has been used for many years as the best available technologyfor adsorbing toxic organics from aqueous streams. Cetcowill typically use GAC downstream from CrudeSorb topolish process e�uents before going overboard with treated water. GAC will absorb some oil�eld chemicalsthat CrudeSorb is not e�ective on. E�ective as a polishingor tertiary technology to meet demanding discharge requirements.
