Metacure Catalysts Metacure organometallic catalysts are designed for use in two-part poly- urethane coatings and the manufacture of prepolymers for polyurethane and epoxy coatings.

Metacure T-1 (Dibutyltin diacetate) - A “fast” catalyst de- signed for systems where more activity is required. Metacure T-12 (Dibutyltin dilaurate) - A moderately reactive catalyst which functions as the “workhorse” of our line of tin catalysts. Metacure T-125 (Proprietary chemistry) - A moderately reac- tive catalyst which offers enhanced polyol solubility and stability. Metacure T-131 (Proprietary chemistry) - A delayed-action catalyst for use where increased pot life is desirable.

Metacure T-9 (Stannous octoate) Metacure T-45 (Potassium catalyst) Metacure T-120 (Proprietary chemistry)

Other Metacure catalysts include:

Amicure Catalysts Amicure TEDA

CATALYST Triethylenediamine catalyst; solid prod- uct with slight catalytic activity.

Amicure 33-LV

CATALYST Triethylenediamine diluted to 33% ac- tivity in dipropylene glycol.

Cross1 i n kers Amicure CL-485

CROSSLINKER A tetrafunctional hydroxyl functional crosslinker which also contains tertiary amine functionality. This amine func- tionality gives Amicure CL-485 cross- linker its unique autocatalytic activity toward isocyanates. This ensures high reactivity of the crosslinking reaction. At the same time, the proximity of the amine functionality to the hydroxyl groups ensures that the activated iso- cyanate will react with Amicure CL-485 and not with trace water in the coating or substrate. This helps to minimize formation of carbon dioxide and the accompanying frothing or blistering of the coating film. Amicure CL-485 crosslinker’s high hydroxyl number of 770 and low equivalent weight of 73 make it an economical choice in coat- ings formulations.
