Meet the Team - Perfectionist’s Office Workforce



Claire Hardy founded Perfectionist Projects in 2009 with a vision to offer freelance, flexibleresource to the signage and rebranding industry utilising the hundreds of global contacts madeduring her 15 years working for Plumb Signs, Collins Signs and Hawes Signs. Claire started hercareer at Plumb Signs as a Production Controller in 1994 and became Purchasing Manager forthe Collins Signs Group responsible for a £5M annual company spend, stockholding and suppliernetwork. After the birth of her first child in 2002 Claire became a Project Manager for HawesSigns and during her six years there successfully managed the rebranding roll out programmesfor Nissan GB, Toyota GB, Iveco and Topaz Petroleum.

Since founding Perfectionist Projects in 2009, Claire has been involved in a number of rebrandingprogrammes for blue chip clients within the retail, pharmaceutical, supermarket, petroleum andfinancial market sectors on behalf of our trade clients. In 2011 Claire completed the IOSHManaging Safely course. Claire’s experience from both the supply and demand sides of businessgives her a solid foundation for Directing Perfectionist Projects successfully towards theirbusiness goals and this is undoubtedly the reason the business has developed into the companyit is today.

Steve Heales joined Perfectionist Projects in2011 to support a major petroleum rebrandingproject in a technical site surveyor capacity andthen went on to carry out site supervisionresponsibilities to play his part in the project'soverall success. This field experience built uponSteve’s previous experience in site projectmanagement of new build electricalconstruction projects for companies such asTeva Pharmaceutical. Steve is qualified to NVQLevel 3 16th Edition Electrical Installation andhas CSCS, UKATA, UKPIA, IPAF and PASMAcertification which together with his fieldexperience qualifies him to be able to managethe operational side of the business.

Sam Hastings joined Perfectionist Projects in 2012to help the business achieve its final goal in theshort term business plan – ISO9001 accreditation.This mission was accomplished in January 2014and Sam has accepted the permanent position ofHR & Compliance Administrator and takesresponsibility for the business achieving ISO14001and ISO18001 by the end of 2014 in line with themedium term business goal. Sam draws on yearsof front-line experience in both the private andpublic sectors, including working for Brighton &Hove City Council for 9 years, and looks forwardto not only achieving a variety of businessaccreditations for Perfectionist Projects but alsoadministering our general ongoing compliance.

Gary Petch started working for the team atPerfectionist Projects in 2014. Gary is aqualified mechanical engineer and began hiscareer in the sign industry in 1987 as anestimator at Oldham Signs in Leeds. He brings avast amount of experience in all aspects of signmanufacture both technically and in sales. Garyhas worked for a number of sign companiesincluding Principle Signs, Tara Signs, PlumbSigns and Colite International. During his careerhe has successfully won various sign rebrandingroll out programmes including HSBC, Barclays,Mitsubishi and Twickenham Rugby Stadium.

Mike Doyle has worked within the sign industry for 19years delivering successful and profitable projects to highprofile blue chip clients amongst all sign industry marketsectors.Mike has a thorough technical understanding of signageproducts and sign installation practices. He has extensiveexperience of sign industry project management andprocessing. His exception communication, signknowledge, customer service and analytical skills makeMike a key and essential member of our projects team.

Perfectionist currently has 5 employed crews and a further 72 approved sub contractcrews in our network. As a minimum, crews must have CSCS, UKATA, IPAF and PASMAand then depending on the market sector they work in they have further specialistcertification. Phil Holland is UKPIA qualified to enable him to work on PetrolForecourts. Ben Harris is CCNSG qualified as he works in the industrial sector. When arebranding project is awarded to us, part of the mobilisation process is to select themost appropriate team for the project and it is at this stage that Claire and Steveselect the right engineers for the job
