Admissions procedure
Choose a field of study and programmes. Visit the website of the Admissions Office for Foreign Citizens at abiturient.spbu.ru, section ‘Admission of international applicants’, to review the admission rules. You can apply for government-funded or fee-paying places. The state scholarship of the Russian Federation fully covers tuition fees, entitles to obtain a monthly scholarship and a place at an SPbU hall of residence at a reduced rate.
1. Create a Personal Account on cabinet.spbu.ru (access is available from 1 February 2018)
2. Fill in, print out and sign an application for admission to one or several educational programmes
3. Submit your application and upload all the required documents to your Personal Account
4. Take part in the competition:
A remote competitive selection of portfolios in consideration of individual achievements — for persons applying for government-funded places and fee-paying master programmes
Oral and/or written examinations — for persons applying for fee-paying bachelor and specialist degree programmes
5. Wait for the results of the admissions tests:
For government-funded places — the list of applicants who have successfully passed their admissions tests will be posted on the official website of the SPbU Admissions Office no later than 11.59 p.m. Moscow time, 2 July 2018
For fee-paying bachelor, specialist degree or master programmes — no later than 11.59 p.m. Moscow time, 23 July 2018
6. Visit St Petersburg and the SPbU Admissions Office with the original copies of the required documents to initiate the paperwork
