Congratulations! You are steps away from gaining access into the Salesforce Partner Community. The Partner Community will be your home for collaboration, access to content, and numerous resources to enhance your partner experience. Follow these important steps to get started. These steps will initiate the login process. Please note: the setup will take a few days from form completion, so plan accordingly. IMPORTANT: IDENTIFY YOUR MARKETING CLOUD PRACTICE LEAD (PARTNER COMMUNITY ADMIN). THIS PERSON WILL BE DESIGNATED TO SET UP THEIR COMPANY WITHIN PARTNER COMMUNITY AS THE PARTNER ADMIN.

Step 1: If you have not done so, identify your Marketing Cloud Practice Lead (Partner Community

Admin). This person will be responsible for owning the setup of individual users for your company within the Partner Community, as well as the person managing the expertise. Once that person is identified, that person should move forward with the following steps. If you are not the designated lead for your company please stop here and identify the appropriate point of contact for your company. Please note, only one person can manage this process. If you are not sure who your Practice Lead (Partner Community Admin) is please reach out to your Partner Account Manager.

Step 2: Go to https://partnersignup.salesforce.com/ and click the “Get Started…” button. It is

recommended that you open this URL in a private browser or incognito window.

Two other important Chatter groups to follow include:

● Official: Partner Community Chatter Group - follow (and select Email > Daily Digest in the left margin) to receive program updates from Salesforce Staff. (Please do not post to this group. You should familiarize yourself with the “Resource” tab on p.force.com/marketingcloud. Here you will find Sales and Implementation resources along with many others!

Success Community Keep in mind, your login to the Partner Community also provides you access to our Success Community. The Salesforce Success Community is an online resource where you can access help, give feedback, ask questions, and collaborate with Salesforce, partners, product specialists, employees and other customers. You can access the Success Community at https://success.salesforce.com. To summarize, the Success Community is open to the entire Salesforce ecosystem (customers, developers, partners), whereas the Partner Community is only open to active Salesforce partners. Your login credentials provide you access to both Communities.

Marketing Cloud Channel Partner Restrictions Although there are many exciting features within the Partner Community, there are some restrictions for those new users coming from the Marketing Cloud Channel Partner Program (resellers, embedded, or digital agencies). At this time, we are still working on migrating our internal Salesforce instance and the tools previously provided in the Marketing Cloud Partner Portal, PRM. Due to this, there are two tabs you should avoid until told otherwise.

Avoid 1: The Business Tab Please avoid clicking on the Business tab. At this time, you will continue to log leads and manage opportunities within PRM (etopn.exacttarget.com). If you try to create a lead in the Partner Community, it will not get to your Partner Account Manager (PAM) and it will not be recorded as a partner lead. Again, please continue to use PRM. Please email [email protected] for all PRM related technical support, password resets, and support.

Avoid 2: The Support Tab Please avoid clicking on the Support tab. At this time, you will continue to use support by calling, emailing or opening a case through 3sixty/BackOffice (www.3sixty.exacttarget.com). If you have questions on this, please reach out to your PAM.
