Goal of the project:Ø Building a digital platform to give access to cultural heritage in our

region. Ø Rise interest in cultural heritage without being another tourism-

platform.

Our contribution:Ø Set up a structure for a long lasting process. Ø Collection of material and immaterial heritage in the district of Kassel

with brief description and location information (GPS data)Ø Acting as activists and multiplier.

Ø The proposals should come from "below and above". (citizens and professionals)Ø A broad participation of different age groups and input is desired.

GRIMMWELT Kassel, newly opened in 2015, is an exhibition center dedicated to the works, activities and life of the Brothers Grimm. The exhibition house offers interactive presentations on the German dictionary, children's and house fairy tales and the life of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. It is divided into 25 areas, which are named with words from the German dictionary. In addition, the GRIMMWELT shows changing special exhibitions.

Industrial monumentFrom 1870 to 1981 bricks were produced in the brick factory. In the Hessian Brickworks Museum you can find out how this was done.The stove and the machines are in their original places. In a guided tour you can get to know all production steps.In the former brickyard there is more to discover. An experience field offers 40 experience stations to unfold human senses. So the visitors have various possibilities to actively discover and experience their own senses. (www.sinnesgaenge.de)

The Dirtpark opened in 2015. It goes back to an initiative of young people who approached the child and youth office of Kassel..After a planning phase with the renowned bike park builder Joscha Forstreuter and a construction phase, in which about 20 young people and young adults helped to build with great commitment, the track was opened. There are two long "Dirtlines" with five jumps each (advanced), a big "Pumptrack" and a little "Dirtline" as well as the "Kids-Pump-Track" for the little ones. The facility belongs to the city of Kassel and is supervised and maintained by the youth promotion together with the "Dirtpark Kassel Team". From April to October, every Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, you can borrow dirt bikes / BMX and protective gear free of charge, if the weather cooperates. The Dirtpark is a youth participation project. The Dirtpark covers an area of approx. 3,000 m²
