Parkway is a 29.500 SQM redevelopment
project with mixture of retail, restaurants and
189 residential units in an under-utilised part
of Newbury, UK.
49 shops are located and designed for
fashion retailers. 20% of the residential units
are affordable housing.
The site provides an attractive urban quarter,
central in the historic city. There is a wide
range of shopping and leisure facilties, new
open streets and squares and a 600
underground car park.
Patrick Griffin, Director of Sutton Griffin Architects: "Our understanding of provincial and historic towns and BDP's expertise in creating high quality architecture in retail led developments have played a critical role. This development is exactly what Newbury needs to reinvigorate the town for the benefit of its local community as well as attracting visitors to boost the local economy."
