◦ Will my marks drop because I’m in IB?
The IB Diploma Programme is challenging, and the workload and expectations are higher. In IB, we use the IBSO Table of Equivalent grades to convert IB raw marks (which are lower) to OSSD equivalent marks (which are higher). The OSSD equivalent mark is the one that will be reported on report cards and to universities. A raw mark of 30/50 (60%) on an IB assessment might be converted to a percentage such as 80%. This depends on the course, but the conversions can be small or large.
