AUCTION UPDATE The Auction Committee is off to a great start for our upcoming parish-
wide auction on Saturday, June 27th, but we need to get a few more key people in place so that the committee can kick it into high gear in the coming weeks. Please take a look at the list of needs below and give strong considera-tion to sharing your time and talents to help the parish: - Volunteer coordinator: enlist volun-teers for the various committees and coordinate work schedules. Once all of our committees are set and have estab-lished what their needs are for volun-teers, the coordinator will be in charge of communicating the needs to the par-ish and getting people assigned to help in the various areas. We will need a team lead to coordinate and additional volunteers to help with phone calls, etc. - Publicity / Marketing: develop and coordinate various ways to publicize the event, ideally utilizing all different types of media such as flyers, newspapers, website and social media. - Shed preparation / layout: team lead needed to prepare the red shed for the auction, including clean up, set up of tables and various areas for food, cash and carry, auction, etc. Coordinate with confirmation students to work with su-pervision so that shed is ready to accept donations. - Bank: supervise the collection of monies on the day of the event, follow-ing church protocol for safe handling of funds. We have use of software that will greatly aid in this area and you will work with others who are familiar with the software on the day of the event. The next auction meeting will be on Monday, March 9th, at 6:30 in the church basement. All interested peo-ple should contact Ann Beach at 428-4441 or by email at: [email protected]. TOGETHER we can build a very suc-cessful event and begin to move for-ward! God bless you for your service and dedication to Mary Queen of Peace!
This week, we will return to our daily Mass schedule:
