An Invitation for Adults Who have not been Confirmed For most of us, the Sacrament of Confirmation was celebrated when we were either in junior high or in high school. For those adults in the RCIA, their Confirmation is celebrated when they are Baptized at the Easter Vigil. For some, especially in Latin countries, the custom was to Confirm at Baptism as infants.

At any rate, for a variety of reasons, many adult Catholics have not been confirmed.

THIS INVITATION IS FOR YOU If you are 19 years of age, and have made your First Communion, but have not been Confirmed, I invite you to join me and others in a preparation program this spring so that you will be Confirmed on Pentecost Sunday, June 4, 2017, here at St. Timothy Church.

HOW DO I RSVP? Either come to the parish office and pick up a registration form, or go to the parish website (www.st-timsrc.org) and download the registration form, fill it out, and return by March 15.

WHEN DO CLASSES START? We will begin on Monday, March 20th and continue on a weekly basis until June 4th.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED? You will need to get a new copy of your baptism certificate; you will need to get a Confirmed Catholic to be your sponsor and to accompany you to class; and you will need an open heart and mind to receive the power of the Holy Spirit. I am looking forward to meeting you, teaching you, and sharing this journey with you toward your final step of Initiation into our Catholic faith. Any questions? Please call me at 949 249 4091 or email me at [email protected]

“Seeking to put love and faith into action, Habitat for Humanity of

Orange County brings people together to build homes, community and hope.” Recently, Habitat approached several members of our parish to join a special coalition to raise funds to build a home in Orange County for a limited income family. Over the months, other parishes have been approached as well and joined the effort, thus forming the Catholic Coalition. This project has been blessed by our Bishop Kevin Vann. The expectation is for the coalition to raise approximately $150,000 to help fund the construction of a house. To make this goal a reality each parish has been asked to raise approximately $6,000. Our parish, with the blessing of Monsignor John Urell, will be participating in this grand effort. Please join our first fundraising event on Saturday February 25th after the evening mass. This will be a Wine and Cheese Social hosted by a specialty chef. The price of admission is only $20 per person. Of course you are welcome to donate more. Look for my article next week about Habitat for Humanity of OC or visit their website www.habitatoc.org Please contact me to reserve your space for this great cause. If you have any questions please let me know. Yours in Christ, Ramiro (Ram) Reveles, Knights of Columbus 228-1642 • [email protected]

You are invited to join us for Mass at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the Fireside Room on Sunday, February 12. This will be an opportunity for you to meet some members of our church community. We will share our Church history and give you a tour of the facilities. Refreshments will be served. We Look Forward to Meeting You!

A fun way to start the Lenten Season for the whole family

4th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Mrs. Cara’s “Girl Tims” class is proud to be a part of St. Timothy’s Faith

Formation program. They are growing in friendship with

Jesus Christ and each other! They are learning prayers, the Bible and

our Catholic traditions. Way to go!

Green is all around …the children in Faith Formation continue to grow in their knowledge of our faith! Green is the color of Ordinary Time within our liturgical calendar. It signifies ordered time and the flourishing of our spiritual growth. The liturgical seasons of Advent and Christmas prepared our hearts for the arrival of Jesus Christ… we look forward to living our faith by putting into practice what we experienced, family, friends and fellowship. Faith Formation classes are going strong because of our volunteers! Thank you to all the catechists for your

role in forming loving disciples of Jesus Christ who make a difference.

“St. John Bosco, you used all your talents to bring children

to the Lord, help us catechists to recognize our

own special talents so that we may do the same.”
