Hi Everyone,

This message serves as an introduction for me as your new Lieutenant Governor for the Paradise Division of the EC&C District of Circle K International. I anticipate that this year will be filled with a heightened sense enthusiasm towards service as we continue to help those who can’t help themselves. Feel free to contact me at anytime about any comments and concerns that you may have.

So till then bask in the honor of your newly elected positions and stay in good spirits as we "Live to Serve.... Looove to Serve!!!!!!

Upcoming Events1. Labour Day Projects:

Kiwanis Club of Liguanea hosts their Invitational Joint Labour Day Project. On May 23, 2009 a beautification project will take place at Lister Marie Gilby School for the Deaf. The second project will take place at Louis Bennet All Age School on May 25, 2009.

1. Secretaries, Presidents and Chairmen Training (SPACT) and Officers Training Experiential Conference (OTEC) will be on May 29 – 31, 2009. OTEC will take place on May 30, 2009.

2. District Church Service will be on June 7, 2009 at St. Andrew Scots Kirk, 56 Church Street.

3. Relay for Life will be held on June 13 - 14, 2009 at the Police Officers Club. Registration fee is $800 per person.

Divisional Goals

1. To have all active local clubs present at least five Divisional/District activities.

2. To have at least seventy five (75) Circle K’ers from the Paradise division at District Convention in 2010.

3. To attain two hundred members (200) in the Paradise Division by March 31, 2010

4. To have a minimum of five (5) Inter-clubbing for each club during a single month

5. To improve club reporting to

70% by March 31,2010

6. To reactivate at least one (1) club within the Paradise division by December 31,2009.

District Goals

1. To increase to five hundred (500) members by March 31, 2010

2. To achieve forty thousand (40,000) service hours by March 31, 2010

3. To raise five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00) for the district by March 31, 2010

4. To reactivate two (2) clubs by March 31, 2010

5. To ensure the completion and submission of the annual achievement report by at least ten (10) clubs for the 2010 District Convention.

This is a step by step tutorial on how to join the Eastern Canada and Caribbean Outlook (ECCO).

The first thing is you need to put this link in your address bar http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ecco2000/After you have done that, you then click Join This Group!

The next thing is critical, you will need to have a Yahoo! account in order to join the ECCO, if you don't now is a good time to sign up for one

Signing up is easy.

After that is completed, a page comes up asking you about your Contact Information, if you would like to receive emails to your primary account and not the yahoo account what you do is click the link that says add another email address, but if you are ok with receiving it to the Yahoo! account you can bypass this step and start after the line.

After clicking this link you will be sent to another page that asks you for the email address that you would like to use to join ecco2000. After you click on the continue button, you will be asked to complete email verification.

Verification ensures that you are the owner of the email address. After clicking, it will say the link is no longer valid, which you would proceed to click continue again, it will ask you to sign in again, for you to add the new primary email address where you click add another, and you enter it.

It will then send you a link to the newly entered email address, you then access your email and click onto the link, where it will say thank you for doing so, where it will ask you if you want to move on, where you will click continue.

It will ask you to sign in again, you then enter you password, it will then send you to a page for you to select the primary email account. You select the primary email, save it and then it brings you the Account Information page, where you can view you information and then select Finished.

You can either search for the group ECCO 2000 when it takes you back the My Yahoo! page or you can re-enter the ECOO url http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ecco2000/ in the address bar. You then click Join This Group! and MAKE SURE TO SELECT the primary email address that you want.

You will have to add a comment to let the Moderator of the group know your title, name, school and position.

You can select how you want to be notified either by Individual Email or by Daily Digest, generally it is better if you are notified by Individual Email because you will be notified immediately, as the information is posted as opposed to the Daily Digest email, where you can choose if you want to see all messages but limit the amount of email you receive. We'll compile an email of up to 25 messages and send daily (special notices too!).

Then it asks about the Message Preference, which is something you can choose on your own. After which you will enter a text as it is shown in the box below. This step helps Yahoo! prevent automated registrations, and then you can click Join, it then gives you a default message stating: Your membership request has been submitted to the group ecco2000!
