For 25 years, Project Angel Food has provided a vital lifeline of hope and nutrition to our neighbors throughout LA County who are battling serious illness and are physically and emotionally debilitated by cancer, renal disease, HIV/AIDS, heart failure and other critical and chronic conditions.

Thank you for saving lives with meals and hope

Every week, we cook and deliver over 10,000 meals to these people who are too sick to shop and cook for themselves. Every day, we our hearts are fi lled with love as we feed them back to health free of charge.

But we do even more than deliver food at Project Angel Food. We are a caring partner in our clients’ struggle to regain their health.

Where there are children in the home we provide breakfast bags to ensure there is enough food for the family, so that our medically tailored meals are fed to the sick caregiver. Our Children’s Breakfast Program is a vital resource in helping food-insecure households and feeds over 100 children at no cost to the client.

Our drivers are weekly visitors and often the only people who come in for conversation. On birthdays, every client gets a birthday bag in honor of their special occasion, each personally decorated by local schoolchildren and fi lled with gift items to draw out a smile. Holiday gifts are collected throughout the year and given to children and teens in client’s homes as an added way to bring holiday cheer to their lives.

These simple but powerful acts of love and compassion are what Project Angel Food is all about.
