AVM Warm Electronics Tests

• AVM WE Tests from Sep-2002 to Jul-2004Purpose: - OBSW development- Initial warm electronics communication verification- Development of basic instrument operational procedures (switch-on/off, memory load, 1355 link initialization etc.)- Development of EGSE software and operational procedures (memory load, packet recording, bus list switching etc.)

Hardware: DPU AVM1, SPU EM, BOLC sim., DMC AVM

CQM ILT

• Two cryogenic test phases: 19-23 Jul 2004 and 6-Sep to 6-Nov 2004 (EMC: 4/6-Nov 2004)

Instrument Hardware: - DPU AVM1, SPU AVM, BOLC AVM, DMC EM, WIH AVM - CQM FPU

Instrument OBSW: - DPU V7.10, several updates during the tests until V7.68 - SPU V11.1, short trial of V11.3, but roll back to V11.1 - DMC V5.006, several updates during the tests until V5.023

FM Pre-ILT

• Since 22-Mar-2006 in several time periods Purpose:

- Development and testing of CUS-based ILT test procedures and operational procedures- Verification of new DPU Boot SW- Dry-run and validation of IST test procedures- OBSW and MIB testing- SPU HLSW development- Support to PCSS development and testing

Hardware: DPU AVM2 & CFM2, DMC EQM, BOLC sim., SPU EM, WIH EQM, FPU simulator (part time)

ILT without FPU:• Continuation of Pre-ILT and integration of PACS FM warm

units into test setup as they become available prior to the cold ILT

ILT with FPU:• SFT warm (before evacuation) • Nominal ILT program (incl. SFT HeI, SFT HeII, entire IST test

procedure and parallel mode test verification)• ILT EMC phase

• FM ISTPurpose:- Verify that PACS instrument function and performance is preserved at satellite level, before, during and after environmental testing. This includes TV/TB and EMC tests.
