The management plan will identify actions for recre- ational site development, re- source management, interpretation/ education and establish management ac- tions on certain issues, such as access, hunting and camp- ing. The objectives of the Property Management Plan are to: • Involve the public in de- termining management op- portunities for MNRR properties. • Provide a wide range of public recreational opportuni- ties and experiences for vari- ous users. • Preserve and enhance natural and cultural re- sources at MNRR properties. • Encourage a connection between people and the prop- erties’ natural and cultural re- sources. The National Park Service announces a 30-day public scoping period for the Prop- erty Management Plan (PMP). During this period, the public is invited to identify issues or concerns they might have with the proposed project so that the NPS can appropri- ately consider them in the En- vironmental Assessment (EA) and planning process. Public comments will be accepted through December 24, 2014. Once the EA and alternatives are developed it will be made available for public review for a 30-day period. You may pro- vide comments in any of the following ways: • Attend any of the public open house meetings and fill out a comment sheet. • Comment online at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/m nrrpropertyplan. • Mail comments to: Super- intendent, Missouri National Recreational River, 508 East 2nd Street, Yankton, SD 57078.
