One-to-one Compass Mentoring is proving to be a great support for
young people. A mentoring relationship does not rely solely on conversation, but activities that the
young people enjoy and hopefully find beneficial.
One-to-One Mentoring Programme
Level Two helped Mot, who was not in education, employment or training and in
need of urgent support due to homelessness. We were able to secure
suitable adapted accommodation to meet Mot’s needs and also assisted with
independent living skills. We continue to provide support and have arranged work
experience placement.
Stone Lodge Academy (previously Beacon Hill School)
We have been offering services and support for students in Years 10 & 11 either at our youth hub or
out and about in the community
Our trained youth workers helped deliver workshops at the ‘Sex & Relationships’ conference for Year 10’s.
We work closely with The School Nursing Team.
We offer the use of our 17 seater minibus.
Students from the Academy benefit from our one-to-one mentoring service.
The Academy supports us with our Transition to High School programme for Year 6s.
Our links with Felixstowe Academy
We have been working with all 7 junior schools in Felixstowe and Trimleys to provide weekly sessions for Year 6 students before they move up to High School. The young people love the sessions and give it the
‘thumbs up!’
Transition to High School
“It gives young people a safe place to be and somewhere there is always someone to talk to”
“It’s fun, and you get to meet new people & get food & stuff. The toast is delicious”
“It gives me a place when I am sad, when I don’t feel safe, I can go and talk to anyone at Level Two”
“It’s a good place to hang out with your friends & make new friends”
What the young people say...
“You can do different activities in the evening and in school holidays. My favourite things are
