OUTDOOR ROCK CLIMBING TRIPS Our Outdoor Rock Climbing is designed to teach basic rock climbing in Alaska. e group will first undergo basic climbing class to include wearing of equipment, belaying, climbing techniques, route selection, use of ropes/ equipment and anchor system. All climbing will be done using top roping technique. You should expect to return worn out, but with a greater understanding of outdoor rock climbing techniques. Cost: • $30 per person for evening trips • $80 per person for day trips Time: • 5 - 9 p.m. for evening trips • 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. for day trips Meet: OAP, Bldg. 7301 Age limit: 14 yrs. & up Personal Gear Checklist: • Loose fitting clothing (to allow a person to climb) • Weather appropriate clothing • Wet weather gear (rain jacket/pants or issue Gor-Tex) • Canteen/hydration pack with water • Snacks in water resistant packaging • Camera in a zip lock bag • Rucksack/backpack Gear Provided: • Ropes • ATCs • Anchors • Carabineers • Webbing • Harness Cancellation Policy Cancellations and/or changes to an existing reservation must be made at least (3) days prior to the scheduled reservation for a 50% refund. Cancellations and/or changes within 3 days of pending reservation will forfeit all monies paid and receive no refund. e only exceptions to the cancellations policy is emergency military duty with written documentation from your supervisor or a written doctor’s note. Special Information Minimum of 4 and maximum of 8 may attend. You must be able to perform physical activity of climbing and hiking to the climbing sites.
