ON MORE THAN 85,000 m² a total of 940 exhibitors from 41 countries exhibited the latest products and innovations from the outdoor industry and occupied the entire trade fair grounds in Friedrichshafen in 2015.

The primary aim of OutDoor Friedrichshafen is to communicate news, trends and the latest products in an exciting way on an ongoing basis and to act as a think tank for the industry. The overall benefits of the trade fair are accordingly high, as is its popularity with the visitors.

The world as your guest.In total, 21,464 industry visitors from 85 countries came to OutDoor Friedrichshafen in 2015. A slight fall from the German-speaking area was able to be compensated by growth at an international level.

Over 90% of the visitors consider OutDoor to be so important that they want to visit the trade fair in 2016 again.

Mark Held, general secretary of the European Outdoor Group (EOG), perfectly sums up the 22nd OutDoor 2015:

“The atmosphere at this year’s OutDoor was very positive. At a time in which competition is more intense than ever before, both exhibitors and industry visitors have worked very hard. They can thus ensure that they are one step ahead when it comes to yielding a profit on trends and introducing new products as well as subcategories onto a market that continues to develop at a fast pace.”

Communication & media.OutDoor Friedrichshafen is at the centre of the media world’s focus. A total of 1,052 journalists from 29 countries reported on the leading trade fair in the industry in 2015. On German TV alone there were more than 2.5 hours of broadcasts on OutDoor, which reached a viewing audience of more than 12 million people.

The Friedrichshafen trade fair provides the media with in-depth press information, numerous photos and material for TV and radio through their in-house communication department.

Of course, all outdoor subjects are also transmitted via social media channels on an ongoing basis. Special press events and media productions ensure that the outdoors remains a topic of discussion the whole year round.
