“United together as one family in Christ.”
I hope everyone has had a good week in the sunshine!
This week we welcomed some of the year 6 children back in school work-
ing in their bubble with Miss Gillson and Mrs Hastie. They have adapted
very well to the new routines and have enjoyed their first week back!
All the children that have been back in school have been amazing, re-
specting the restrictions, competing all their work ready to enjoy PE, topic
and RE in the afternoons. We have seen some wonderful work that has
been completed by children at home too.
We are very proud of all the work you have been doing!
Please follow us on twitter to see what the children
have been up to and what events are upcoming.
Happy Birthday to Alex who
was 9 Yesterday!
'Building resilience and positivity in challenging times'
Emma Alford and Our Lady’s would like to invite you to explore a range of tools and
strategies, to help you and your child worry less, in these uncertain times. Building
confidence and self- esteem for the future and creating more positivity. We are hoping
this will give you and your children a toolkit to cope throughout the summer and prepare
for the return to school in September.
Emma Alford has over 20 years experience working with schools in the UK and Australia
as a teacher, consultant and coach .She has created two schools based programmes ,
Leadership Explored and One Change. Over the past 3 years, Emma has worked with staff
and children at Our Lady’s to build resilience and a growth mind-set. This had a positive
impact on the learning in school and empowered the children to believe in themselves,
take risks and persevere when they are struggling.
The workshop will take place as a zoom event on Tuesday 14th July - two
sessions will be available 1-2pm and 6-7pm so everyone has an opportunity to access. A
zoom invite will be sent out separately to all parents/carers. Please let the office know if
you are able to attend the meeting and which time slot.
Emma has asked that if you have questions for her, please can you email them to [email protected] and they will be forwarded to Emma. She will then be able to answer those questions at the end of the workshop.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all to the workshop.

Key Worker’s Friday Fun Day!
Today we have completed three
science experiments—we will see the
results of two of them next week. We
have also taken part in scavenger
hunts with our classmates on google
meet, which was great fun!
We finished the day off
having PE with Ben—we
played kick cricket
whilst Miss Hemming
squirted us with the
water gun. We then
had a water fight!
