Prequalification Overview
Prequalification required to “verify” that potential
sources of capacity are genuine physical resources
Three key considerations for an Application:
1. Applicant must be either the Legal Owner of the asset
or its Despatch Controller (with agreement from the
Legal Owner)
2. Accompanied by declarations signed by two directors
or officers of the Applicant
3. Submitted by the end of the Prequalification Window
(via the EMR portal) by 17:00 on Friday 26 August
5
Prequalification Process
Prequalification
process is user
driven
System is designed
to guide parties
through the process
We can answer
queries about the
prequalification portal
We can’t give
“advice” about how a
project should be
presented into
prequalification

Register a company
High Level Principles
All Companies will need to
register
Other “company users” may be
added to the portal
Companies previously
registered will not need to re-
register
A single Registration allows
applications for all three
auctions
Audit Trail – anything that
happens is traceable
NG cross-checks company
details against public record
Each Company needs to
nominate at minimum;
Company Secretary/Director
(Authorised Person) –
somebody recognisable in
the public domain
Proposed “Main Administrator”
– somebody who will fill in
the application
Copy of registration form must
be printed on company letter
head and signed by a director
or company secretary
All log-ins are password and
PIN protected - important that
email and mobile numbers are
accurate to issue passwords
and PINs
8 TS
Set up users
The Main Administrator can register additional users to log-in to their
Company's area of the Admin System and carry out specific roles
Each of these users must be given "privileges" to carry out specific roles
for the Main Company or any Sub-Company.

Adding details to a company
Basic company information created through a company registration
process
Upload the following where it is required
A copy of the company’s Certificate of Incorporation
Prequalification Certificate
Certificate of Conduct
If the Applicant is part of a Group – the name of its direct Holding
Company – this is not provided in the system – PLEASE DETAIL
THIS ON THE PREQUALIFICATION CERTIFICATE IF
APPLICABLE
Where applicable, confirmation of an interconnection licence
Legal Opinion & Bank Account details – these items were removed in
2015 but are still present in the system, they do not need to be filled in
