1 PURPOSEANDSCOPEThedataproductsdescribedbythisSoftwareInterfaceSpecification(SIS)aretheOSIRIS-RExCameraSuite(OCAMS)reconstructedtelemetry(raw),reducedandcalibrateddataproducts.TheOSIRIS-RExScienceProcessingandOperationCenter(SPOC)locatedattheUniversityofArizona(UA)producethesedataproductsanddistributethemtoboththeOSIRIS-RExScienceTeamandthePlanetaryDataSystem(PDS).Thepurposeofthisdocumentistoprovideusersofthedataproductwithadetaileddescriptionoftheproductandadescriptionofhowitwasgenerated,includingdatasourcesanddestinations.Thedocumentisintendedtoprovideenoughinformationtoenableuserstoreadandunderstandthedataproduct.Theusersforwhomthisdocumentisintendedarethescientistswhowillanalyzethedata,includingthoseassociatedwiththeprojectandthoseinthegeneralplanetarysciencecommunity.

4 DATAPRODUCTCHARACTERISTICSANDENVIRONMENT
4.1 InstrumentOverviewTheOSIRIS-RExCameraSuite(OCAMS)isasetofthreecamerasdesignedtosupportthemissionthroughallphases,fromapproachtosamplecollection(Figure1).TheasteroidisfirstacquiredthroughthePolyCam,an8”Ritchey-Chretientelescopecapableofdetectingupto12thmagnitudeobjectslimitedbyspacecraftjitter.Asfeaturesontheasteroidbecomeresolvable,PolyCamisusedforpreliminarymappingatasurfaceresolutionof<25cm.MapCamperformsmappingatasuiteofphaseanglesusingapanchromaticandfour-colorfilters.Thecolorfiltersaretheb’,v,w,andx-bands,which,exceptfortheb’filter,aresimilarinbandwidthtotheECASfiltersetusedbyground-basedastronomers(Figure2)[Tholen,1989].SeveralmajorsurveycampaignsareconductedwithboththeMapCamandPolyCamtoselectandcharacterizepotentialsamplesitesonBennu.Reconnaissance

4.2 DataProductOverviewThisSISdescribesimageandengineeringdataacquiredbyOCAMS.ImagesfromallthreeOCAMSimagersandtheirassociatedcalibrationfilesaresimilarlyformatted.OCAMSimagedataareprovidednativelyasbinaryFlexibleImageTransportSystem(FITS)files.ReconstructedTelemetrydataproductscontaintwoheaderdataunits(HDUs),UncalibrateddataproductscontainoneHDU,andRadiometricallyCalibratedproductscontainoneHDU.ThefirstHDUintheReconstructedTelemetryrawimageproductscontainsanimagewithonlytheactivepixelsfromthedetectorarray(1024x1024)andasecondHDUcontainingthesameimagewiththeoverscanandcoveredregionsofthedetectorarraypreserved(1112x1044).Theoverscanregionsandthecoveredregionscanbeusedbythedataprocessingpipelineforbias/dark/chargesmearcorrection.Oncetheimageshavebeencorrected,theoverscanandcoveredpixelsarenolongerneeded,soeachReducedandCalibrateddataproductcontainsimageswithonlytheactivepixelsfromthedetectorarray.ReduceddataproductsarestoredasFITSfileswithoneHDUcontaininga1024x1024image.CalibrateddataproductsarestoredasFITSfileswithoneHDUcontaininga1024x1024imagewithpixelvaluesinphysicalunits.ImagesaredeliveredtothePDSas2D-arraystructureslabeledaccordingtoPDS4standards.ItisimportanttonotethatimageaxislabelingfromtheFITSstandardtothePDSstandardisopposite.TheFITSstandardisfirst-index-fastest,whereNAXIS1isthemostquicklychangingsubscript,whereasthePDSaxislabelingconventionislast-index-fastestnotation.ThismeansthatNAXIS2islabeledinthePDS4arrayasaxis1withand<axis_name>of“line”,andNAXIS1islabeledasaxis2withan<axis_name>of“sample”.InthisdocumenttheFITSaxislabelingstandardisusedtorefertoallaxesindataproducts.ImagesareacquiredonaschedulesetbythemissionDesignReferenceMission(DRM).EngineeringdataacquiredwitheachimageincludeHousekeeping(HK)dataandDetectorIDpacketdata(AncillaryImageInformation).Housekeeping(HK)dataarestoredintheSPOCdatabase.Housekeepingrecordsarealsoacquiredperiodically,nominallyevery2seconds.Theintervaloverwhich
