Overview OrthoNet is pleased to provide its network members a secure web portal that allows providers a simple and efficient way to interact with us. By utilizing the various features of our website provider offices can save significant administrative time. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the topics listed below so that you can utilize all of the available functionality. OrthoNet’s secure web interface provides several benefits to the treating provider. The following are examples of the functionalities that are provided:

• Check status of authorization requests • Check status of submitted claims Verify member eligibility* • Reprint copies of authorization letters • Submit authorization requests

* The eligibility information shown on this website is updated based upon health plan data provided to OrthoNet. This information may no longer be current as of today, and should not be relied upon unless verified with the health plan. Please contact the health plan directly for current, definitive information, or for answers to any other questions that you may have pertaining to member eligibility and benefits.

Accessing the System If you have not received a user name and password to access the system please contact our Provider Service Internet Help Line at 800-771-3195. Please keep in mind that this service is available only to participating providers for the various health plans that OrthoNet is contracted with as well as contracted providers within OrthoNet’s network. If you should forget either your user name or password please contact us at the above number for assistance. Logging in and out of the system To log into the system please follow the steps outlined below:

1. Open you internet browser and enter the following address: www.orthonet-online.com 2. Click on the “Check authorizations and claims status” link 3. Enter your user name and password in the appropriate boxes 4. Select the appropriate health plan from the list 5. Click on the Login button.

6. After logging in you will have the option of logging in to a specific payor area. Please left click with your mouse on the health plan that you wish to enter.

To log out of the system please follow the steps outlined below:

1. On the Options line, click Sign Out

2. Click the Sign Out button to confirm

3. To log out of a specific health plan, please click Home on the Options line. This will return you to the Home page where you will be able to log into a different health plan to access information specific to that payor.

How to check the status of an authorization

1. On the Options line, click Auth Search

The following screen will appear:

2. On the Authorization Search page enter either the Member’s ID number or their last and first names into the appropriate fields.

3. Click on the “Search” button. Note: Using a Member ID to search will result in faster and more

accurate searches. Using a last name to search by will cause the search to take considerably longer and return results that are potentially over-inclusive.

4. Searching by the Member ID number will result in all authorizations issued for that member

being displayed on the screen.

6. Click on the appropriate selection on the Options line to navigate away from this record.

How to check the status of a claim

1. On the Options line, click Claim Search

2. On the Claim Search page enter either the Member’s ID number or their last and first names into the appropriate fields.

3. Click on the “Search” button

4. Searching by the Member ID number will result in all claims processed for that member being displayed on the screen.

Looking up Codes (Reference Lookup)

1. Click in “Reference” in the Options line

2. Select the type of record you wish to look up from the Reference Type: • Procedure, Diagnosis, Place of Service, or Modifier

3. Enter either a part of the code or description into the appropriate field(s) and click on the

Submit button

4. Results will be displayed on the bottom of the screen beneath your search parameters.

Inquiring About Authorizations, Claims, or Members

1. After searching for an authorization, claim, or member you will be presented with a search results page. At the bottom of the page you will see a link labeled “Inquire About…”

2. By clicking on this link a secure email window will open. This email process is secure and HIPAA

compliant. You will also notice that the authorization or claim number that you are inquiring about is already populated so there is no need to add it again. This inquiry will also be linked to your login/user name so that we will know who to respond to.

3. Enter your question into the message box and click on the submit button to send your email to us.

4. Click on the appropriate selection on the Options line to navigate away from this page.
