Prestige engineering invented the carp-porter barrow over 20 years ago. This revolutionised the way tackle was transported to the swim.

Around 15 years ago we invented the first motorised porter. This was an immediate success, there has been a gradual process of innovation and improvement over the years. The initial models had a few teething issues, however the hard learnt experience gained from this has now resulted in an ultra reliable product with a fully backed up warranty. One of the main components subject to extreme conditions are the electric controllers. We pride ourselves on using electronics, manufactured and sealed to our specifications by an MOD approved company.

The motors and gearbox are UK made exclusively for us to our own specification. All the axle assembly and running gear are UK made on CNC machines. We avoid far eastern manufacture on these key components to

keep reliability as high as possible. (it would be much cheaper to bring in these far eastern components but, by experience they do not meet our stringent standards). Please note each barrow is hand assembled and tested individually. The electrics are tested one by one under water for water tightness.
