In 1972, Mr. Mohammad Shamsul Alam established M/S Orient Trading Agency with a very simple foundation: “QUALITI COMES FIRST FOR GROWING PROFIT”. In the year 2000 that proprietorship company restructured as ORIENT TRADING & BUILDERS LIMITED (OTBL).Today, “OTBL” is a prominent privately owned business (family-owned business) that has evolved from small beginnings to that of an innovative, reliable and flexible contractor with focused on that purpose and delivers excellence in construction services by consistently providing great project experiences.

OTBL is proud of its family owned and operated culture, allowing it to be guided by a long term strategic vision and capable of adapting to changing construction market conditions over the years. Today, the co-founder Mr. M S Alam and his three sons, Shafiqul Alam, Zubaid Bin Alam, & Refat Bin Alam, all manage and work within the business along with directorship of different OTBL’s imperative sister concerns. While Mr. Shafiqul Alam as the Deputy Managing Director of OTBL.

Since its incorporation, OTBL executes complex engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and international trading projects for commercial and government clients in remote and challenging locations of Bangladesh.
