Organizing Your References
Creating a Folder
• Click “New Folder”• Name folder• Click “Create”
Adding Reference to Folder(s)
• Select citation by clicking in box next to Ref ID• Select folder on pull-down menu
• Note: One reference can go in multiple folders
View, Select, and Edit Folders• Click “Folders” tab• View Folders• In the “Folders” tab, you
can: Rename folderClear folder
Delete folder
You can view the contents of a folder by clicking on a link
*Note: changes do not affect references within folders
Edit References
Click on pencil and paper icon next to Reference to edit date, title, author, etc., or just to add personal notes
Share Folders
1. Click “Share” tab2. When in “Share” tab,
click yellow folder with green arrow to create hyperlink
3. Once folder is shared and settings are saved, you can view the link, edit options, or e-mail to a colleague
