LIVE LIFE LAKESIDE
A place of tranquility and healing is exactly where you can find
Jordan Jacobs, the North Shore’s own
acupuncturist. After growing up in
Oklahoma City and then traveling
to the booming city of Los Angeles,
Jordan decided in 2012 to move to
Jonestown to help her father. They
both felt a connection with nature
on the North Shore. Needless to say,
this is where Jordan felt she could
utilize her skills and create a place of
peace and tranquility.
Jordan first learned about acupuncture as a young
adult when she experienced a health issue. She would never forget the
feeling she had after her first treatment. This triggered her desire to
show people who are experiencing similar health issues an option to
treat them using alternative methods. Jordan realized her calling, and
decided to pursue a career in acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
During her studies she learned, among other things, a tranquil
environment is a key component for healing. Away from the hustle and
bustle of the big city, Jordan realized her North Shore home, encircled
by a live oak tree and view of the lake, was the perfect environment she
had been looking for to start her own business.
Jordan utilizes various Chinese techniques, which assist patients
with a wide range of issues. From joint pain to menopausal symptoms
to aging gracefully, Jordan can inform you with exactly what you need
to heal and/or make you feel at peace. For example, some treatments
involve small delicate needles. Others, such as cupping, involve placing
small glass, bamboo or silicone cups on the body to create negative
pressure or decompression. The purpose of cupping is to enhance
circulation and blood flow to remove toxins from the body.
In addition to strong general practice, Jordan specializes in
treating chronic pain, digestive issues, allergies, symptoms associated
with menopause, sleep irregularities, facial rejuvenation, emotional
disorders and addictions. She relies on observation and additional
feedback to guide her through treatments. Her overall goal, as
a practitioner, is to encourage everyone to take their health and
wellbeing into their own hands through knowledge and awareness.
Jordan believes the body has a profound healing system when given the
right opportunity to take the corrective measures.
Jordan is beyond excited to be starting her practice here on the
North Shore. If you are in need of her services you can reach her by
email at [email protected] , or by phone at (512) 237-2588.
