Workforce Planning was implemented to provide CEI with visibility at the employee level. Employee related costs are a significant expense item for CEI and is highly scrutinized.

Cloud EPM provides CEI with the ability to analyze employee related expenses at a detail level such as Job Type. This is critical information for CEI as the develop their plans and forecasts.

Data Forms With the addition of new dimensions to the application all data forms had to be revisited and reviewed. We took advantage of this opportunity to review their inventory of data forms and incorporate some of the new functionality of web forms including the use of tabular cards. In addition, Smart Push functionality was utilized to synchronize data between databases.

Security User access for the on-premise environment was

provisioned through Shared Services. Access had not been maintained for some time and included many users and user groups that were no longer needed.

A new security model was developed via My Services. Users and new user groups were developed.

All application artifacts that required access will have user groups applied as a best practice and for ease of maintenance.

Automation (EPM Automate) Custom automation routines were developed for via

Data Management for a variety of tasks such as data loading, business rules execution, data movement, copying of data to different scenarios

In addition, a series of maintenance tasks have also been developed including exporting data, snapshots, and database defrag, etc.

Documentation With the implementation of Oracle EPM Cloud, it

was critical to document all new processes and new functionality that was developed. Previously, there was no system or end-user documentation for the on-premise environment.

As part of the implementation, a robust detailed system administration document was developed to assist the Rambus project team in managing and maintaining Oracle EPM Cloud.
