For Fall 2011, OPI takes to the American road with a palette of shades that brings a new spirit of classic style to life. Autumn is the time to reinvent ourselves with stunning new colors – and what better inspiration than my recent road trip from coast to coast? These lacquers capture the Americana I love – an attitude of comfortable glamour and charismatic, wearable elegance. Truly united shades of allure.

The OPI Touring America Collection is a tour de force of instant classics, each with an innovative hintof glimmer, gleam, or glam. Taupe (the season’s go-to shade) and pearl grey appear in variations from dark to light – A-taupe the Space Needle, Get in the Expresso Lane, French Quarter for Your Thoughts,and Suzi Takes the Wheel. Lush urban neutrals in deep sapphire (Road House Blues), rich raisin(Honk If You Love OPI), forever-chic olive (Uh-oh Roll Down the Window), and coffee brown (I Brake for Manicures) merge with iconic red (Color to Diner For), vivid rose (My Address is "Hollywood"),and luminous coral and orange (I Eat Maine-ly Lobster, Are We There Yet?), for a boldly beautiful color landscape.

This new classic, confident attitude was spelled out on fall runways by a mix of luxurious feminine details and dramatic menswear touches. All in the season’s combination of sophisticated neutrals with splashes of gem-bright color – and all accessorized with nails in shades of OPI.

(International Salon & Spa Expo) in Long Beach, California. "There were a lot of new faces in the competitive arena this year," said Hauk, "Absolute and Axxium were the stars that everyone kept asking about, but I can't forget Shiner XL—everyone kept asking me how I got my nails so shiny!"

On the February 9 episode of the Today Show, OPI Executive V.P. and Creative Director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann was interviewed by ABC news correspondent Andrea Canning regarding the ever-growing popularity

of nail polish. "I always say, (nail lacquer is) the greatest accessory, the most affordable, and you can change it as often as you like, and get a whole new look!" said Suzi. According to the segment, nail lacquer sales grew by nearly 15 percent in 2009 while lipstick sales dropped over 5 percent.

OPI hit the runway for New York Fashion Week/Fall 2011, making multiple appearances with top designers, including BCBGMAXAZRIA, MAX AZRIA, Hérve Léger, Rebecca

Taylor and Charlotte Ronson. Throughout the week, models were manicured with OPI Nail Lacquer in Samoan Sand, San Tan-tonio and Suzi Loves Cowboys. "We were thrilled to walk the runway with so many fabulous designers," said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director, "As seen on the models, nude nails will remain a huge trend throughout the rest of the year. Beige, tan, honey, chocolate, and even grey give fingertips a chic, minimalist look, matching fashions of the same hues or providing a base for brighter, patterned clothing."
