What is Strategic Planning?Strategic planning is an organizational activity that is used to :

• set priorities• focus energy and resources• strengthen operations• ensure that employees and other stakeholders are working toward

common goals• Establish agreement around intended outcomes/results, • Assess and adjust the organization’s direction in response to a

changing environment • shapes and guides what an organization is, who it serves, what it

does, and why it does it, with a focus on the future.

Why a Strategic Plan?

Establishes a clear direction for an organization

Identifies the roadmap to success

Aligns the work of different stakeholders for a common purpose

A focus on proactive rather than reactive thinking

……Basically, not having a strategic plan is akin to navigating unknown territory without a map. And without a map, you're lost.
