a ‘one For tHe Boys’ CaMPaign
sHining a little Blue in Male CanCer aWareness
This campaign was born as a personal tribute to my friend Simon and his brother, Ali.
Inspired to do something to help Simon heal from losing his brother Ali to Cancer, I started researching Male Cancers. I was surprised to see most cancer campaigning focusing on women, and very few supporting and educating men. The lack of awareness in men of cancer symptoms reinforced the need for a change, and so ‘One For The Boys’ was born.
Our Main Objective is simple: to get men talking about cancer by removing the myths around it, and changing their attitudes towards their health. By bringing some blue to what seems to be a very pink world, we aim to get men paying more attention to their bodies when something might be wrong.
Our mission is to educate men through awareness campaigns and live clinics to know the signs associated with cancer. This will encourage them to seek help and allow for the early detection that can save lives.

Thank you for taking the time to consider our proposal.
When I was asked to chair the One For The Boys Campaign, it was an honor. An opportunity to use my profi le with a campaign that has not only saved a friend’s life since it was launched but has made me think a lot more about my health and most importantly, I now know a lot more about Cancer in Men.
Though the subject may be a little taboo for a lot of men, we are on a mission to fi nd a way to reach each man in the world through their interests, starting with the shared program of events.
One For The Boys presents an opportunity for myself and other high profi le personalities to come together in a fun way to highlight the importance of male cancer awareness.
Sofi a and I are both humbled and excited about all that’s in store for One For The Boys this year. We’re thankful for all the brands talking to us about supporting our activities, as through them we will make a huge difference.
