    PROBLEM STATEMENT.

At Chakuama orphanage centre there is

there is a problem of insufficient building to

keep the orphans. As such, all the boys and

girls are still kept together in small area. The

sponsors of the centre have plans to construct

another building but they dont have an

    architectural drawing for the buildingstructure.

    LITERATURE REVIEW

-Architecture is an art and science of designing and

erecting building and other physical structures.

In relation to buildings, architecture has to do with the planning, designing and constructing form. An intelligent building

begins with intelligent architecturethe shape, the building

enclosure, and the way the building appears and functions.

    Importance of architectural design.

Architectural design is used as the engineers languages since

it provide the coordination between them so as to ensure that the

appropriate structure is built. It reflects the ideas workable

structure/building and structural art is achieved.

    FACTORS CONSIDERED WHEN DESIGNING.

    Type of the building

    The usage of the building

Place where the building is to be constructed

    Amount of Air circulation required

    Financial purpose

    ARCHITECTURAL CONSIDERATION.In Architectural designing we consider;

    The site plan

    The floor plan

    The roof plan

The elevation and section of the structure

o A site plan include all the existing and proposed

    conditions on a given site

o A Floor plan shows the horizontal view of the buildingtaken at an appropriate level

o The elevation is mostly applied to the exterior part ofthe building structure

o The building section is a cut through the building in

which the interior parts are shown.

    BUILDING PLAN

-It is the arrangement of various units of building in all floors.

    SIGNIFICANCE OF BUILDING PLAN

    Make best use of space

Create health conditions for living in habitants

To develop environment to beautiful situation.

To make user of building feel to work more and comfortable.

    LEVELLING.

Branch of survey which deals with the method of

expressing the relative height of any number of points, above

or below some plane of reference called the datum. Back sight:-this is the first reading taken during levelling

Fore sight:-this is the last reading taken during levelling.

Intermediate sight:-it is the reading taken between fore sight

    and back sight

Bench mark:-permanent point whose height from the datum

    is known

Reducing level:-distance between the data to the ground level

    DATA COLLECTION.

    o Rate orphans in Tanzania

o Current number of orphans at the centre

o Surveying the site and see all the physical features of the exist

    o Measuring the site dimensions

    o Leveling the site

    MEASUREMENT OF THE SITE.

The measurement of the site is 51m length and

35m width, while the proposed area has 46x35m.

The current number of orphans is 125 children(74boys) and (51 girls)
