One week to go “Our Olympics” (Wed 1st Aug 1.40 to 3.30pm) all students need to come to school “country colours” Step 1 Make Large flag (paper was given out yesterday) and make small flags eg 4A France etc. Now for Step 2 Each class need to nominate the following : X 2 flag bearers X 1 country sign holder X 3 famous past or present Athlete from that country (eg Australia can be Cathy Freeman,Raelene Boyle and Steve Hooker) students need to google/research about this athlete. Make a name tag/ sign so that they can carry when they march. On the back of this sign students need to write down some important info eg What sport are they involved in?, How did they qualify for this event ? Did they compete in the last Olympics ?etc…. X 6 Torch bearers (students need to be numbered ) 4A 1 TO 6 5A 25 TO 30 6A 49 TO 54 4B 7 TO 12 5B 31 TO 36 6B 55 TO 60 4G 13 TO 18 5G 37 TO 42 6G 61 TO 66 4D 19 TO 24 5D 43 TO 48 6D 67 TO 72 THE FINAL TORCH BEARER WILL BE it’s a secret !!!!
