From 27 July to 12 August 2012 in the British capital London XXX Olympic Games were held.

London became the first city to host the Olympic Games for the third time (previously

they were held in the capital city of England in 1908. And 1948.). The competition was

attended by 10.5 thousand athletes.

Russia at the Olympics in London, presented the 436 athletes: 208 men and 228 women.

Russian athletes took part in the 34 sports in the 21st won medals: gold - 24,

Silver - 26 Bronze - 32. Total - 82In London, the Russian team won top honors at the 3 more than in

China.

Judo Arsen Galstyan in the final fight in the weight category up to 60 kg defeated Japanese wrestler Hiroaki Hiraoka. For the Russian Judo is the

first Olympic gold medal in history.

Egor Mehontsev was the best in the category up to 81 kg in boxing. His rival in the fight for gold

was kazahstanets Adylbek Niyazimbetov.

Alexander Dyachenko, Yuri cut won gold medals in rowing-twos to 200 m

Elena Lashmanova won "gold" in the 20 km walk. Olga Kaniskina won the silver medal in this

discipline!

Immediately after the finish Olga Kaniskina started to limp - she performed with an injury at this Olympics. Much that she could not become a two-time champion, but she lost to her compatriot, and it's great that the issue was only between Russian athletes. They rock!

Mariya Savinova won the gold medal in the women's 800 meters

Evgenia Kolodko changed her bronze medal for silver

Sergey Kirdyapkin became a hero by walking 50 km.

Ivan Shtyl won the bronze medal in the competition canoe single (200 m).

Eugene was the best Startseva connecting the 2012 Olympic Games.

• Tatyana Lysenko in the first attempt threw 77.56 meters in the hammer and cut off Olympic achievement of four years ago, delivered the Belarusian athlete Oksana Menkova. But the best was the fifth attempt, when an athlete has set a record at 78.18 meters and won the gold medal of the Olympics.

• Maxim Mikhailov was the best scorer of competitions and strongest attackers. In total, he managed to score 148 points, of which 124 were produced in the attack. All on someone else's half-court he beat 216 times (43.06% of successful offensives.) Personal performance in Beijing 2008 Maxim improved. Then it was 127 points, including 105 in the attack (2nd place).

• Women's wrestling was included in the Olympic Games in 2004, and the 21-year-old Natalia Vorobieva on the way to this victory had a chance to overcome almost all the heroines of past Olympics.
