The Emmaus News Columbus Indiana Area Emmaus Community, Inc. September 2016 volume 24 issue 9 Leer to the Community… Emmaus and Chrysalis Communies, September is upon us and with it our community is beginning a very busy me of the year. By me this newsleer is sent out Greg and Beth Johnson will have lead their teams to Hilltop to be the hands and feet the Holy Spirit used to transform a group of High School Youth into Beauful Buerflies ready to Fly With Christ! But we can’t stop here! Community, we have more work to do. Tom Bailey and Karen Suon have been praying for, and calling the teams for Walk 101 & 102. They have planned Team Training and so many other details that are required to hold a walk. Unfortunately, right now we do not have the minimum required pilgrims to have either walk. In order to have a walk we need to have a minimum of 20 Pilgrims registered to aend each walk. The deadlines are coming up very soon. We need you to be in prayer for these walks and teams. Also pray and ask, is there someone the Lord wants you to Sponsor for these walks? If you are not sure what to do Phil Newton - Sponsorship ([email protected]) would be more than happy to walk you through the process. Cindy Massey – Registrar ([email protected] ) can help you with quesons as well. Emmaus and Chrysalis Communities,
September is upon us and with it our community is beginning a very busy time of the year. By time this newsletter is

A.) Join the youth for Send-Off at Camp Hilltop in Brown County on Saturday Sept. 3 at 9AM.
B.) Join worship at Candlelight at Community Church of Columbus on Sunday Sept. 4 at 8PM, (That's Sunday evening, not Saturday!).
C.) Enjoy Closing as we hear wonderful stories from the youth at Garden City Church of Christ on Monday Sept. 5 at 4:30PM.

the corner so it's not too early to
be thinking about Agape. If you
have supplied agape before,
please consider bringing those
treasured love gifts out again. If
you have never made agape but would like to,
please use your imagination and create a gift of

and team and if you need some inspiration there
are lot's of great ideas on Pinterest,

Board Member Candidates for 2017-2019 Needed NOW!
Well, it is that time of year again! A group of dedicated individuals are
finishing up 3 years of service on the board and we need to replace
them. If you have a desire to serve our community in this way, please
send your information to Team Selection Board Member, Diana Boyer,
or to the Community Lay Director, Mary Miles. We will be needing 5
new board members. We need someone with music experience for
the music position, someone with data skills, and someone with website
management skills as well as folks with general organization skills and,
most of all, a love for the ministry of Emmaus. Please notify us
soon. We need to have the board positions ready to vote on by the
November gathering.

serve.
