LEEDLEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a certification system, internationally recognised and promoted by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a no profit association that promotes eco sustainability in protection of the environment. The LEED standards give guidelines for the realization of environmentally sustainable buildings in terms of energy savings and protection of environmental resources. In Italy the Leed standard is promoted by Green Building Italia that performs its functions on a nationwide basis.

Water efficiencyWater is an increasingly limited resource and in recent years has become an asset of extreme economic importance. Climate changes have accentuated this phenomenon and the rational use of water has become a priority.

Certification of product water efficiencyThe efficient use of water is an environmental imperative in all countries worldwide: work needs to be done urgently in this field because the availability of water could be significantly reduced In the short to medium term.

This environmental awareness led ANQIP to launch a certification and labelling system for product water efficiency in Portugal. This initiative will be the answer to a crucial necessity for urgent action, to guarantee, in the near future, the much desired and indispensable conditions for environmental sustainability.

Why it is important to have classThe certification and labelling system for product water efficiency allows consumers to recognise the water efficiency of all products. This system consists of classifying cisterns into various categories, from category E (least efficient) to category A (most efficient).

Cisterns that fall into category A guarantee the best water efficiency but also an effective cleaning of the toilet bowl. OLI supplies several cisterns that are certified class A of water efficiency. All these cisterns have a maximum flush volume of 6 litres and are supplied with a dual flush system that allows the user to employ the most adequate quantity of water at each flush.

Combining a sober design with exceptional reliability, Easy Move represents an optimum solution for the bathroom facilitating use of the WC by children, the elderly and the disabled, thanks to the possibility of raising and lowering sitting.

Happy Air, on the other hand, is an optimum solution for bathrooms with no windows: it is a revolutionary air extraction system that radically prevents the diffusion of foul odours inside the room with a exceptionally silent operation.

Easy Move allows the pan height to be altered according to users needs by means of a highly attractive solution. Easy Move is particularly suitable for the disabled: for this reason it is also equipped, as an optional, with a handles kit for the disabled; furthermore, the flush can be activated with a special control panel.

The Easy Move frame is compatible with all WC pan models on the market and guarantees modifications in height of up to 150 mm, starting with a minimum height of 400 mm and reaching a maximum height of 550 mm; the structure has a depth of 200 mm including the cistern and the activation motor.

The engine is extremely powerful with a thrust of more than 600 kg, and offers maximum reliability and silence: when operating the noise of the motor is practically inaudible. The Easy Move structure also incorporates a flexible flush pipe and possesses a movement speed of 12 mm/s thus allowing rapid alteration of the WC pan height. The frontal finish of the Easy Move structure, based on the adoption of a panel in tempered glass, offers a choice of colours that include aquamarine, black or white.

Happy Air

Happy Air is a revolutionary solution to the problem of air renewal in rooms without windows.

A high power extractor allows foul odours to be extracted directly from the WC through the flush pipe and condensation to be extracted through an elegant and discreet plate.

In addition to these characteristics, this product offers an exceptionally silent operation and reliability.

Installation of Happy Air is extremely simple: it is connected directly to the Oli74 flush cistern system and there are no particular restrictions in its positioning; the adjustable front panel can in fact be installed on the wall or in the ceiling.

The extractor fan operates at 230 V/50 Hz or 110 V/50 Hz and can be activated both with a switch installed in parallel with the lighting or with a presence detector.

Happy Air, in combination with the Oli74 flush cistern meets the most severe Italian and European standards.

Oli74 and Happy Air systemAll Oli74 models can be paired to Happy Air. In order to allow the connection between the systems, the cistern is supplied with a 50 flush pipe with lateral joint.

In order to properly realize the conjunctions between the cistern and the suction system and between the suction system and the ventilation piping, its compulsory using PP, HDPE or PVC pipes.

Main pipeline measuringThe main pipeline measuring refers to the following installation projects: the first one presupposes the installation of one single Happy Air system on every flat and the second one, the installation of two Happy Air systems on every flat. The measuring figures are calculated according to the following conditions.

Contemporaneous utilization factor: 100% (all Happy Air systems work at the same time). Vertically installed main pipeline. Constant main pipeline diameter. Outlet residual pressure: 75 Pa. Pipeline roughness: 0.15 mm. Flat height: 2.75 m. Pipeline length up to the roof aerator: 1.50 m. Secondary pipelines, made of DN 80 pipes, are 2 m long and include 2 elbows.

The laying and the configuration of the pipes depends on the chosen configuration of the system.

The ventilator connection pipe must be connected to the main pipe, the dimension of which must be calculated beforehand and sized as described in the product handbook.

The connection must be made with 45 branches in order to facilitate expulsion of the inhaled air. The connection can be made directly to the soil stack with primary ventilation, as long as it is higher than the emission points of the discharge networks of the stack.

In the case of waste systems with parallel ventilation, the connection pipe can be connected to the parallel ventilation stack.

In-wall flush cisterns

Flush cisterns to be installed inside the wall and used in combination with floor standing sanitary appliances. Produced with high quality materials, OLI in-wall cisterns are robust, reliable and perfectly adaptable to all available spaces.

OLI flush cisterns are suitable for all rooms thanks to the wide range of available control plates, with an extensive variety of choices both in terms of aesthetics and functionality.

All OLI in-wall cisterns are characterised by a dual flush system, with silent and rapid float valves.

OLI in-wall cisterns are installed and serviced rapidly and easily thanks to simplified access to its internal mechanisms.

Thermal insulationThe protective polystyrene layer avoids the undesirable build up of condensation. To facilitate laying of the covering, some models are also available with a netting for the adhesion of glue.

Efficiency in silenceAll OLI in-wall cisterns are equipped with silenced float valves that are certified in class 1 of the NF standard and ensure the cistern is rapidly filled with minimum noise.

OLI puts its float valves through rigorous laboratory tests. In the picture to the right we see a simulation of the flow of water inside the float valve, performed during its functioning.

Facilitated maintenance By removing the control plate rapid accessibility of the cisterns internal components is guaranteed; all the components can be easily removed when and if maintenance is necessary.

Rapid connection to the water supplyConnection to the water supply is simple and fast and does not require the use of tools. The stop valve is found inside the cistern and opening/closing of the same is easily performed by hand.

Water efficiencyAll OLI in-wall cisterns are classified class A in terms of water efficiency and are equipped with dual flush mechanisms for greater water savings.

Notes

Simflex installation systems for wall-hung sanitary wares - brick walls

The Simflex installation system is composed of a galvanised sheet metal frame, to be used in masonry walls for the rapid and safe installation of wall-hung sanitary appliances.

The Simflex mounting frame includes different versions designed specifically for the installation of wall-hung WC pans, washbasins, and bidets.

The main advantage of the Simflex system is the possibility of rapidly and safely installing a structure that includes a flush cistern and connection system for wall-hung pans, the type of WC that is becoming increasingly popular in all markets due to the advantages that this system offers in terms of facilitating cleaning operations and occupying less space in the bathroom.

As well as this specific advantage, we can also add the superior characteristics of the OLI cisterns: the wide range of available control plates, the lining for thermal insulation, the quality of the internal components, the silent operation of the float valve, simplified maintenance and the classification in class A of water efficiency.

Ease of installation With ease of installation in mind, OLI developed a new protective casing that is fitted to the cistern to offer maximum protection during work on the installation site. The control plate is fitted with bayonet fixing screws, the actuation screws are adjusted by turning them by a quarter of a turn.

Fixing pointsDesigned for installation in masonry walls, the Simflex system is fixed to the wall in six points to facilitate correct application and to strengthen wall fixing if installation is in front of the wall.

Sanitarblock installation system for wall-hung sanitary wares

The Sanitarblock mounting frame system is made up of a metal frame with epoxy resin paint, to be fixed to the floor and to the load bearing structures of the plasterboard wall to support the mounting of wall-hung sanitary appliances.

The system includes different structures for the installation of wall-hung WC pans, washbasins, bidets and urinals.

The main advantage of the Sanitarblock system is the possibility of rapidly and safely installing a structure, inside light walls, that includes a flush cistern and connection system for wall-hung pans, the type of WC that is becoming increasingly popular in all markets due to the advantages that this system offers in terms of facilitating cleaning operations and occupying less space in the bathroom.

As well as this specific advantage, we can also add the superior characteristics of the OLI cisterns: the wide range of available control plates, the lining for thermal insulation, the quality of the internal components, the silence of the float valve, simplified maintenance and the classification in class A of water efficiency.

Fast fit - rapid and preciseThe Fast Fit system for fixing the Sanitarblock frame to the load bearing walls stands out for its strength and ease of application.

The threaded spindle can be cut according to necessity and is secured by manually turning the screw supplied.

This system also allows the frame to be levelled off by performing a precise final adjustment.

FlexibilityBesides the possibility of turning the outlet bend in order to centre it with the sewer connection, the Sanitarblock system also allows the depth of the outlet bend to be adjusted thus giving greater adaptability in the installation and avoiding compression in the sewer pipes.

The feet of the Sanitarblock frame can be adjusted by up to 200 mm, thus allowing application at the necessary height.

Sanitarblock in light wallsThe Sanitarblock mounting frame system is ready for use within plasterboard wall structures, for the installation of wall-hung pans in light walls. For this application, to secure the structure to the fixing system, self-tapping screws are recommended.

The Sanitarblock system has characteristics of high mechanical resistance in compliance with French Standard NF XP-D12 208 (400 kg).

Ino-xThe Ino-x line of plates was created thanks to the collaboration with Italian Architect Romano Adolini, an influential name in bathroom design.

Ino-x was designed with the aim of conferring a mark of distinctiveness and a significant eye-catching design to an essentially technical element.

The result is a discreet, elegant and visually striking object: A simple sheet of steel, just 2 mm thick, with a clean laser cut. This philosophy generated a range of six models, all characterised by clean lines, using only pure shapes such as the square and circle.

The same forms were applied to the single central button which, with a swinging movement, allows for two flushing modes. A pictogram with the + and - signs, created by laser engraving, allows easy identification of the quantity of water to be used.

Very easy to install and compatible with the cisterns in the Oli74 range, Ino-x is available in satin or polished stainless steel with an anti-touch finish.

Notes

Exposed flush cisterns

These are flush cisterns made with a bright thermoplastic material with an elevated resistance to knocks and scratches.

The exposed cisterns are classified into 3 types, according to their positioning over the ceramic pan.

Close-coupled: these are fitted directly onto the ceramic pan and are ideal when replacing ceramic cisterns.

Medium to low position, installed at a maximum height of one meter, hooked to the wall using the back-pack system.

High position, activated by chain or a pneumatic button that can also be combined with in-wall flush pipes.

Some models in the range are available in a wide choice of colours, as well as the traditional bright white. The wide range of OLI exposed cisterns is equipped with a fast and silent float valve with different water connection possibilities.

Pneumatic flush cisternsconversion kits and remote actuators

In-wall and exposed flush cisterns, combined with reliable and precise pneumatic activation systems, plates and buttons.

These systems that make use of air pressure for activation are suitable both for functional and aesthetical solutions, given that the plates dont need to be positioned near the flush cistern with the possibility of activating the flush at a distance of up to 2.5 metres.

The limited pressure necessary for flush activation makes pneumatic plates and systems particularly suitable for use by children and disabled.

Universal mechanismsfor vitreous china cisterns

OLI is a leading European producer of mechanisms for ceramic cisterns and its quality is recognised by the most important international bodies.

The extremely silent float valves and the elevated performance levels of our products are tested under strict conditions inside the laboratory.

Many of the biggest producers of sanitary appliances have chosen the quality of OLI outlet and float valves, confirmation of their reliability and the wide range of articles that allows different solutions to be proposed for the most varied production requirements.

This position of market leader, earned due to the continuous perfectioning of already top-performing systems, is however, not enough for OLI.

Indeed, every day new products are created to meet the requirements of the international markets in which OLI operates and which are destined to become widely used solutions: Azor Plus, the float valve, is one such example, a demonstration of the commitment of OLI to reduce water consumption.

Azor PlusOLI has enhanced its range of float valves with Azor Plus, a product that has been appropriately defined as offering delayed filling and back-pressure operation. The most important characteristic of Azor Plus is the possibility of saving half a litre of water at each flush. While a traditional valve, following a flush, immediately starts refilling the cistern, with Azor Plus filling is delayed by a few seconds, to make sure that the outlet valve has sufficient time to return to its closed position.

In this way, water efficiency is significantly increased; if we calculate an average of twenty flushes per day on two cisterns installed in a four-person flat, this results in a daily savings of 10 litres and 3650 litres per year.

Azor Plus can be installed in any type of cistern, both in-wall and exposed, and also in ceramic cisterns with connection at the side or below and it complies with WRAS and NF standards. According to the worldwide important French standard, the valve is certified in acoustic class 1 with a peak pressure resistance up to 20 bar. The compact dimensions of Azor Plus allow it to be easily and quickly assembled with a 3/8 connection and the possibility to carry out any necessary maintenance and internal cleaning of the float easily and rapidly.
