members.ThemissionoftheOFPCistoestablishanequitableandsustainablefoodsysteminOakland,

California.TheOFPCsgoalscovereachaspectofthefoodsystem,fromproductionthroughresourcerecovery,andemphasizehealthyfood,healthyenvironment,healthyeconomy,andhealthychoices.

TheOaklandFoodPolicyCouncilismadeupofrepresentativesofallsectorsofthefoodsystem,with21

membersrepresentingthefollowingworkingcommunities:

OaklandFoodPolicyCouncil membersparticipateintencouncilmeetingseachyear(onthethirdThursdaysofeverymonthexceptAugustandDecemberat5:00pm).Eachsessionincludesashortfull

councilmeetingandlongerworkgroupmeeting.Participationisrequired80%ofthetime. Workgroupsinclude:

OutreachandRecruitment FundraisingandFinancing DataManagementandResearch

AdultOFPCmembersservethree-yearterms,andmayre-applyattheendoftheirterm.YouthOFPC
