This unit is a bout the observation of safety, health and environmental protection requirementswithin a typical offshore working environment. It deals with the use of personal protectiveequipment and other safety equipment, as well as general behaviour when carrying out the
work activities associated with drilling operations including working at height. The unit alsodeals with the competence that is needed to make an effective contribution to the control ofemergencies and critical situations that may arise.
