F)meral services were held Mon­day at the Methodist church with Rev. R. 0. Louthan in charge. Mu­sic \vas furnished by H. E. Hoff, Lew.is Broer, and Melvin and Er· nest Witte, with Minnie Pittman as accompanist. Pallbearers we r e Henry Thaden, James Kimball, Don Pra",itt, Eugene Stewart, N'. B. Moran and Wade Chapman, Burial was in the local cemetery.

A native of Iowa, Mr. Reed \fas borr1. <March 13, 1880. He came to Randolph in 1897. In 1913 he mar~ ried Elsa Given in Lincoln.

Mr. Reed was manager of the locaf Gamble store for 15 ye~rs. He had been a member of the city council, the school board and the Methodist church council. !lIe was a1n active member of the masonic lOdge.
