WHAT: Dominion Virginia Power has completed the installation of more than 600 solar panels on the roof of ODU’s Student Recreation Center in the heart of the campus to generate 125 kilowatts for the electric grid. As part of Dominion’s Solar Partnership Program, the facility will power approximately 31 homes during daylight hours. Energy information from the installation will be available at a lobby kiosk inside the Student Recreation Center and in Kaufman Hall, ODU’s engineering school.
