    RASTAFARI SPEAKS

The great nations of the world would do well to re-member that in the modern age even their ownfates are not wholly in their hands. Peace demandsthe united efforts of us all. Who can foresee whatspark might ignite the fuse? It is not only the smalland the weak who must scrupulously observe theirobligations to the United Nations and to one an-other. Unless the smaller nations are accordedtheir proper voice in the settlement of the world'sproblems, unless the equality which Africa and Asiahave struggled to attain is reflected in expandedmembership in the institutions which make up theUnited Nations, confidence will come just that

much harder. Unless the rights of the least of men are assiduously protected as those

of the greatest, the seeds of confidence will fall on barren soil.

The stakes are identical for every one of us: life or death. We all wish to live. We allseek a world in which men are freed of the burdens of ignorance, poverty, hunger anddisease. We shall all be hard-pressed to escape the deadly rain of nuclear fall-out,should catastrophe overtake us.

    TRAITORS

In the fight to reach the top the oppressed have alwaysbeen encumbered by the traitors of their own race, madeup of those of little faith and those who are generallysusceptible to bribery for the selling out of the rights oftheir own people.

As Negroes, we are not entirely free of such an encum-brance. To be outspoken, I believe we are more encum-bered in this way than any other race in the world, be-cause of the lack of training and preparation for fitting usfor our place in the world among nations and races. The traitor of other races is generally confined to the me-diocre or irresponsible individual, but, unfortunately, thetraitors among the Negro race are generally to be foundamong the men highest placed in education and society, the fellows who call themselves leaders.

For us to examine ourselves thoroughly as a people we will find that we have more trai-tors than leaders, because nearly everyone who essays to lead the race at this timedoes so by first establishing himself as the pet of some philanthropist of another race,to. whom he will go and debase his race in the worst form, humiliate his own manhood, and thereby win the sympathy of the "great benefactor", who will dictate to him whathe should do in the leadership of the Negro race. It is generally "You must go out andteach your people to be meek and humble; tell them to be good servants, loyal andobedient to their masters. If you will teach them such a doctrine you can always de-pend on me to give you $1,000 a year or $5,000 a year for the support of yourself, the

newspaper or the institution you represent. I will always recommend you to my friendsas a good fellow who is all right," With this advice and prospect of patronage the aver-age Negro leader goes out to lead the unfortunate mass. These leaders tell us howgood Mr. So and So is, how many good friends we have in the opposite race, and that ifwe leave everything to them all will work out well.

This is the kind of leadership we have been having for the last fifty years. It is nothingelse but treachery and treason of the worst kind. The man who will compromise the at-titude of his country is a traitor, and even so the man who will compromise the rights ofhis race can be classified in no other way than that of a traitor also.

Not until we settle down as four hundred million people and let the men who haveplaced themselves in the lead of us realize that we are disgusted and dissatisfied, andthat we shall have a leadership of our own and stick by it when we get it, will we be ableto lift ourselves from this mire of degradation to the heights of prosperity, human libertyand human appreciation.

    RASTA CRITIC

Look at it. Our great fore-parents were kings, queens and rulers of the earth. This is the free lion, living in his natural environment, fully free, somuch so that he didnt even realize it, as this wasnormalcy. Now the lions have been caged, ex-

ported and placed in the zoo for the entertainmentand pleasure of their captors. These ones that neverknew captivity and imprisonment remained rest-less, ever looking and fighting to escape from theircaptivity. Why? Because they knew what it meantto be free within every fiber of their being andwould never be content as prisoners of war. Theseones upon careful observation were increasinglydemoralized till death is welcomed.

Now during the captivity they are forced to breed and to bring cubs into this world of captivity. The young li-ons, look like lions, smell like lions and even roar like lions but yet are not lions within naturality. These cubswere born and raised in captivity and dont even know that they are captive. Very accustomed to the zoo-keeper bringing them their food at the appointed time along with whatever drugs to help keep them in thisstate. These lions are on display, paraded and even taught to ride a bike and perform every un-natural act forthe benefit of the captors. (REGGAE INDUSTRY SUB-CULTURE) The zoo is all they have ever known andhave ever actually experienced throughout their lives, so much so, that moving into a larger cage appears to bean upgrade that is greatly appreciated and lick the hand of the captors in thankfulness.

Now observe how the cubs fuss and fight over the scraps that the zoo-keeper gives them. Fuss and fight for the best perceived place in the cage, and even will damage each-other in the vain attempt to be the favorite of the

zoo-keeper. They treat each other with the most animosity and yet lick the hand of the keeper.

There is something inside them that is conflicting in their inborn nature. Reality is based in perceptions. Thisforms the roots of values, beliefs and purpose. What you perceive is what you believe. Therefore the zookeeper is always to benefit.

Now take these aid lions born in capt ive, and transport them to the land of their origin and release them intoEthiopia / Afrika. These lions represent confusion and identity crisis. Again these said lions cannot rule as li-ons within their natural birthright. They carry with them the stain of the zoo-keeper fully emblazoned in theirforeheads, similar to the Mark of the biblical Cain.

Thus it is presently so with many of ones and one who sight themselves as so-called Rastas. What we observeis the manifestation of the symptoms. This is evident in almost every individual, group and faction. Still it re-mains to be the re-occurring questions as to why is it that Rastas cant get it together, and live and do thatwhich is right and perfect altogether.

One would imagine that we would be further along on the road of Afrikan Liberation and independence, fromthat time till now. The Faith, Courage and the Just Cause so necessary in this victory has never, and couldnever neither change, modify nor dilute.

RASTA CRITIC So, what is it, that is holding us into this position and condition? Yes, I heard you, yes I know, you said; Satan,da Debil, and Babylon. So what is it? The wicked dun finally conquer Rasta? The whole thing dun mash-up?Rastafari is da loser? HIM is just some pipe dream in a cloud a ganja smoke? Trust me, I dont take no pleas-ure in saying these things.

For I, after 33 years, this is shameful, lyah, and touch I personal. So dont take this like some personal vindic-tiveness against I&I. It is much higher and deeper than that. For this reasoning is in the realms of I&I lookinghonestly at ourselves. Learn from our errors, love one another and fulfill da livity and work. A so it go.

Anyway, the internal conflict must be confronted and eliminated from the mind of I&I people. If one nevertruly tasted, smelled, or even lived in a sovereign free heights of independence and self-sufficiency? How doyou go about attaining it? HIM again said with reference to African Liberation that UNITY IS THE ONLYACCEPTED GOAL. So herein lays the agenda, which is in the heights of Jah will help those who are willingto help themselves. We must take responsibility for our destiny. This is where the fear lays. Why? Because

basically it means that you got to be a real man now, you got to be a real woman now. Which means you must be a god or goddess inna earth. No one or nothing to blame. So if its Repatriation or Zion-ites a one is sighting, then it is your responsibility to make it happen. Straight.

Sizzla and Snoop Lion? Whatever happened to Marcus Garvey? Not Garvey the person, but what GarveyREPRESENT and STAND FOR among Rastafari groundings. Black fe Black, kin fe kin. Overlooking thisfoundation is the main venue for DA CREEP-UP to come CREEP-IN. The mixed up moods, attitudes and theGREAT AMALGAMATION, THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, which result in stagnation of white-supremacy and so-called jew-menati take-over. This is easily seen taking place globally.

Whatever a one may have to say against Garvey the man, irrespective he was a man who brought forth a planand program for blacks globally. Many of his detractors have yet to come with anything greater, so no need todebate Garvey the person as Garvey roused us to the responsibility as Blackman and women to take our right-

ful place in this world, second and inferior to no other race, which will always be to his credit among his lifeand work.

Also this is another symptom of the fear that results in internal conflict.

Until next timePeace and love to all and malice to none, Rastafari.

    BACK O WALLAncient Ras Irice

Back O Wall, with my own self interpretation, I see that we are behindthe civilization of what going on. We just behind the wall. You dont haveany use because the interpretation when you follow it up, it is a slum, andthe occupants of it are the destitute ones them. Their identity is from slav-ery. So the colonialism allow that to take place. The kind of colonial soci-ety at that time, then Back O Wall would be a proper name used for ourlivity in our encampment.

Back O Wall, for I, is a University of higher learning. It keep you intouch with you African lifestyle. The inhabitance of Back O' Wall was amixed group. The people there are peasants. In that peasantry you havethe political force, people whom the politicians depend on when the vot-ing time comes around, then you have cultural people, people is like poco-

mania. You can trace pocomania and find out that its origin is not western, but African culture, but certainones have not gone that dimension to find out that is our own thing. African life-style is build up upon various

different segments of lifestyle. Therefore you have the Rasta, which was the strongest cultural group fromBack O' Wall.

Where Prince Emanuel was abiding was not known as Back O' Wall. That section is over Grass Yard, adjoin-ing to Ackee Walk, because you have Back O' Wall, Ackee Walk, and Grass Yard in that vicinity, differentfrom For Sure Road, you have Shanty Town and Moon Light City out at Hunts Bay. Spanish Town Road, justat the roundabout, where the market vicinity is Moon Light City.

When we do Nyah Binghi out there and the moon shine you dont need nothing, no bottle lamp nor candlelight.

Often times, the Nyah Binghi was held at Back O' Wall. Even when Jamaica got independence in 1962, I andBongo Tawney and brethren such as Ras Rupert and other brethren went to Murray Mountain, also known asMt. Mariah, in St Anns. We reason with one brethren better known as CCC, and discuss matters to host aseven-light Ises in Back O' Wall, which we did, but before then and after, several Binghi was held there. Thecourtyard, is large with all the buildings around it, represent a village to us with brethren living in a certain cir-cle.

During the night and day, Binghi was held in Back O' Wall. It was not, wait until two day time situation. Forinstance, we were coming from Warrika Hill, seventeen of us walking on Windward Road, my encampment, and we reach out at bump by the church, we hear the shout Fiyaaah. The people easily recognized who wewere by voices, they knew that it was Ras Iris and group from Warrika Hill, and as soon as we reached Egypt,

ones came out up to welcome us. The reasoning then starts, and ended continuous chanting at the same place.

    Revolutionary Movements.

How will the Africans approach this liberation strug-gle? How will those Africans being in the WesternHemisphere approach the same struggle of Libera-tion.

The System that has created all these problems alsoknow to Counter attack the Said System and estab-lish effective Control. Here is where this dangerword Revolution comes in: This word Revolutionhas many difinition: but the real meaning of Revolu-tion is, braking away from the Colonial System, which Seems undetectable in the eyes of those op-

portunist who does not care at who's or what ex- penses they haved, Materially achieved there desires. How well we understand? Colonialism have manyapplicable forms of Exploitations.

These forms are created and enacted by Colonialistwith different or Similar dispositions. The FrenchColonials, The British Colonial, The Beligans Colo-nial and the American Colonials to Mention a few ofthe Colonialist with both different and Similar dispo-sition, and the people of Africa with Conflicting Co-lonial Ideas that have to be understood by all Con-cern Both the Colonialist and the Colonials. Boastnot thy self of how much you are British, French,Belgium, or Americaly Trained or Educated. Bychance one of the Colonials should complete Studiesin a particular Subject and should be distinguished

His only distinction maybe expulsion from His Uni-versity or One totally disregard the Logic's and theTruth of his own discovery of true Self.

The Africans both at Home and abroad have Somevery interesting Story To Tell the World how he orshe Survive the test of liquidation of the Race throughan applied System Some of our Most Learned Broth-ers of our Race Have Blinded the eyes and mind ofthe Vision of Realization.

Africans are learning there Lessons well through themistakes of these opportunist. The Real face of ourtrainers are now showing up in the Arenas. Like aMatador without a sword and Mad Bulls who are wellTrained to distroy the Matador at Sight. In otherwords Colour Blind Bull. Watching a bull kill an un-armed Matador is a much appreciated sport in theeyes and heart of those who promote such sport.Something of attraction is needed to tempt the Bull to

be in rage being furious the Bull alway develope akilling instinct.

A bit of Silk is introduce but is has a particular col-our. Red: Racial Relationship is also a Sophisticatedterm for this tyranny. Does the Colonial Governmenthad any right to colonialize the African people? No;What will be the expectation of these Colonialistfrom the wrong upbringing of a Race of people.

Many contributors of peace find it very hard to givethere true worth under the circumstances of Racism. The African seem to have no right to think for him-self with out being advise how to think and what bet-ter for him. It may be true in Saying that Africa is notfully develope. Why is Africa not yet develope?

because they The Africans have a traditional patternof developement which is being interfered with byailen Nations. The pace ofdevelopement with the lim-ited amount of Technology is known to be the great-est Set back. Yet the period of great expectation is at

Hand. The Scheme of Socially braking away fromthese System, is to be perpetuated by a New AfricanGovt.

RALAK HAS COME A LONG WAY IN 2012

To be a Rasta one must love THE TRUTH andnot contend with THE TRUTH.

In keeping with the urgent Pan-African necessity of

bringing Africans together to address the concernsof Africans, the Interfaith Dialogue which is an inte-gral part of RALAK accomplished this mission su-

perbly, bringing together Africans of different culturaltraditions with the common overstanding that ARTI-FICIAL differences must not be allowed to preventAfricans from working together for the common goalof African liberation.

This is a great step from the first days of RALAK in

the mountains of North Carolina when the emphasisseemed to be on FACILITATING INTEGRATIONas indicated in statements such as "Reasoning needsto be on how InI represent InI Message as to Cocreating Unity and Love for all Colors and Creeds.

Obviously the predominant perspective at that timewas that there is a greater need for cultivating blackand white love and unity. Also when in the context ofa multiracial assembly as indicated in the photos below

one hears frequent proclamations of adherence to the golden rule of loving everybody one cannot help butassume that at that time integration was the name of the tune.

However unlike in former times, there was never any indication that the focus of RALAK IN 2012 was on get-ting validation from the pope by proving allegiance to the golden rules of loving everybody that slavemasters love to know their slaves are keeping up.

In this time, as it ought to be , the focus of RALAK was centered un-apologetically on bridging the artificialdivides that have been placed between Africans for the purpose of maintaining the Slave-masters domination.Red gold and green stood proudly together with the red black and green and the flag of the African union, andnowhere was there to be seen the red white and blue that once made its appearance in days of old.

here was no entrance of the forces of brutality at any time in the program, so if you are an African whoknows the track record of the red white and blue, and your blood tingles at the sight of the mark of the Beast, and you had some apprehension about CIA penetration, your fears would have been allayed this time.

RALAK today looks much more like a movement of African people concerned about African liberation from

red white and blue domination .

    12/16

There are also other encouraging signs that RALAK has evolved: Back then in the mountains of North Caro-lina, holding1 minute of silence for 911 victims and US war casualties, and veterans from Iraq and Afghani-stan, was seen as the politically correct thing to do.

That was indeed a strange phenomenon, because the Rasta and the Pope were sharing the same perspective, jointly making holy the life of the invading soldier that followed to the death the devil's orders faithfully , andthereby defending the forces of brutality.

Such departures from critical African liberation thinking made one wonder then if this was a strategy to getvalidation from the Pope so that one would be DEEMED WORTHY TO RECEIVE GRANTS.

It would appear that it never occurred to anyone at that time that an African that is in love with justice and inlove with the cause of enslaved ancestors would be thinking in a way that is far different from the mind of aBush or A Reagan. Such an enlightened one would be holding instead a moments silence for the millionsthat have perished in The Middle Passage, those that perished in the hells of plantation slavery, andthose that are perishing all over the globe today because of the continuing violence of the forces of slav-ery and colonialism.

It was early detection of such misguided priorities that prompted the writing of the article "Who is determin-ing the Rasta-man's priorities nowadays."

Being a servant of justice, A Rasta is supposed to put todays issues in their proper historical context and not join the Popes bandwagon. Such a trend of identifying with the forces of invasion and brutality would unchar-acteristically lead the Rasta to mourn for the death of The Invader and care little for the millions that are mur-dered by the wars of invasion.

But lack of economic independence on the part of Africans is always forcing the African to sing strange songsthat do not belong to him. In many ways this lingering oppressive shadow is always forcing the African to de-

part from his true historical obligation.

This is an issue that all Black movements must face, for eventually they are confronted with the question:HOW LOW ARE YOU PREPARED TO GO TO GET THE POPE'S validation?

Can you build a true African liberation movement on grants? and what is the nature of that progress that must be continually fueled by grant infusions?

As usual, when the festivals are over Africans are still faced with the fact that in every part of the globe theAfrican is still being forced to run errands and perform tricks for Uropeans. And this is causing so muchcharacter deformation that it is quite likely that the question will soon have to be asked: IS THIS STILL

    RASTA?

The observance of silence that Rasta must keep is a different kind of silence. Rasta cannot uphold the sameevil symbolism that is endorsed by the one-sided demonic attitude of the US patriot who values the life ofthose in US uniform and completely disregards the millions of other casualties as mere collateral damage.

While such symbolism may present one's movement favorably in the eyes of the powers of imperialism, they place those that uphold them squarely in the bloody shoes of the Bushes and the Reagans .

In an entertainment-addicted culture there are many that get caught up in the throb of musical instruments, and are fascinated by the holding of festivals. Such a culture breeds a mind that is blinded by its need to havea good time, and the slave-masters counter-intelligence forces know it well.

The pulsating electronic rhythms are apt to drift the attention of the masses from the sinister footnotes that be-tray spirit and intent.

But it must be said that in 2012 evolution has taken place, and thanks to those that labored, the right footnotesappear to have been put in place. Is it because of venue relocation, or is it because the harsh words of construc-

tive criticism are bearing fruit in their season? TIME WILL TELL.

Footnote: To be a Rasta one must love THE TRUTH and not contend with THE TRUTH. Never should weadopt The Devils stance and make it look like it is my truth and your truth. That serves only The Devils pur-

poses, and the spirit of Rasta will not be happy with that. Ashe.

HOT FIYA!One Perfect love and blessings in the house of Jah Rastafari and Empress Menen

.InI have seen many Rastafari fighting for power, but know not the hour. They allseem to be fighting for a parcel of land in Babylon, but that will not solve InI

problem. It never did in the past and will not change now.

Begging political favors will not solve InI problems. Remember, never let a poli-tician grant you a favor; they will always use you forever. Seen Fiya?

There seems to be a game going on of who will out smart who, or is it one ofwho will bell the cat? I man trying to figure it out. There are many hidden agen-das, that were once stored in the head space, now seem to be exposed in the

open. Is this an ambush, a coup, or an open attack on your own people?

The all mansions organization will eventually lose its stripe of Integrity if this trend is allowed continue. They

seem to be running many red lights on the trod. Very soon their aspiration for Rastafari leadership will blowup in smoke, or maybe they dont care what the Global Rastafari think about them. They all seem to be socomfortable splashing their internal disputes across the four corners of the earth. Hot Fiya!

Check it, the concept of Rastafari is not me and you, or me against you. It is a concept of integrity and right-eous commitment to progressive and upful living and Ivine governance.

Some individuals will foolishly allow position in administration to get into their heads. Many are not governed by a code of conduct, and therefore it becomes a free for all mentality, or the man with the most clout, rule. These are the same ones who will eventually stand on the floor at the detriment of the organization.

Many have not adopted any example of leadership set out by Qidamawi Haile Selassie, so how they expect tolead InI?

The wise will always avoid the path of sudden destruction and be among the few I-lected to carry on the dutyof African Liberation.

The internet should not be used to splash Rastafari internal disputes; it is time to wave the red flag of disgust. It seems like some have no shame and delight in the new found fun. Well it is not funny.

These so called leaders, self appointed to say the least, really have a big ego. However, they will soon realizethe damage they have caused, or maybe they wont. They seem not to recognize the importance of public rela-tions or international relations within their organization. Who will do the damage control now that the bird hasflown the coop?

It will be difficult for any Rastafari organization to get membership, to be accepted, or to represent the Rasta-fari Diaspora interests, if these distasteful and unpleasant acts keeps surfing the net.

Rastafari fight must not or should not be for an outpost on an Island. The fight must be for the mass movementfor African Liberation. The fight for Repatriation and Reparation is not on the horizon and internal strife willnot bring it any closer.

I-man just cant see the logic for the behavior of those who were entrusted with the governance of Rastafariaffairs.

The camp is being invaded, and many now find themselves fighting over scraps of food that cannot satisfy thehunger of those many that were deprived of it and shelter, for over five hundred years and counting. Its full time to be about my Fathers business, and not be blinded by ones and ones reflection in a flash of

    power struggle. More Fiya!
