BIOGRAPHIES Little Prince: Eileen Cella is a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She is reprising her role in The Little Prince after being a part of the production at the New Victory Theatre. Though she just recently made the big move to the big apple, Eileen’s favorite regional credits include Luisa in the Fantasticks (Kimmel Center), Eliza in My Fair Lady (Act 2 Playhouse), and Belinda in First Day of School (1812 Productions). Up next, Eileen will be back at Act 2 Playhouse in the role of Maggie in Lend Me a Tenor.

Aviator: Christopher Marlowe Roche is an artistic associate and founding member of the for/word company. With the for/word company he originated the roles of Antoine de Saint Exuperay in North, and the role of EB White in The Little Book. Most recently he played St. Ex in North at 59 East 59th Theatre in New York City. He has worked at Arena Stage, The Kennedy Center, Woolly Mammoth, The Studio, and Source Theatre, all in Washington DC. He was nominated

for a Helen Hayes Award for his work in The Importance of Being Earnest (Source Theatre). Other regional credits include Timeline Theatre Company, American Theatre Company and Bailiwick Repertory Theatre in Chicago, as well as Walnut Street Theatre, Bristol Riverside, The Freedom Theatre, and Philly Fringe, in Philadelphia, and Seattle Repertory Theatre and The Little Theatre in Seattle, Washington. He has played Charlotte von Mahlsdorf in I Am My Own Wife twice; at Contemporary Anerican Theatre Company (Ohio) and Seattle Repertory Theatre (Washington). Television credits include Another World (NBC), and Pinnfield Suite (MTV). Roche holds an MFA in Acting and New Works from The Ohio State University.

Rose/Desert Flower/Other Puppets: Arlee Chadwick has performed for kids all over the world. She previously appeared in the international tours of Sesame Street Live! and My Little Pony Live! She recently appeared as a puppeteer at the Swedish Cottage Marionette

Fox/Other Puppets: Michael Schupbach has been designing, building, and performing characters for Film, TV, Theater, and the Web for over ten years now. He is co-founder of The Puppet Kitchen, a full service character shop in Manhattan. He is also a performer on and co-creator of Disney Channel’s series, Johnny and the Sprites. Michael’s additional credits include The Public - Shakespeare in the Park Hamlet, Theaterworks The Plant that Ate Dirty Socks, CTW’s Sesame Street, Disney Channel’s Bear in the Big Blue House, IFC’s Greg the Bunny, Noggin’s interactive series Play with Me, Sesame, and Universal Studios’ Sesame Street in 4-D. Schupbach holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from The Evergreen College in Olympia, Washington, and a somewhat less serious degree from Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey’s Clown College. www.michaelschupbach.com

Men in Planets/Other Puppets: Teddy Yudain is a New York based actor and puppeteer. Most recently he was seen in Pride and Prejudice (Mr. Collins) at the Hope Summer Repertory Theater in Holland, MI. Other favorite HSRT credits include: Forever Plaid (Jinx), Cmplt Wrks of Shkspr: Abridged (Juliet, Ophelia, etc.), and The Foreigner (Ellard). He toured with Shakespeare LIVE! the educational touring company for the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey with Midsummer (Lysander/Flute/Fairy) and Julius Caesar (Cassius). New York: El Gato con Botas (Puppeteer) New Victory Theater, Madama Butterfly (Puppeter u/s) The Metropolitan Opera. He has a BFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut and is a proud member of AEA and AGMA.

Author: Rick Cummins has written for several Off-Broadway and regional theatre plays and musicals---That’s Life! (Outer Critics Circle nomination); Pets (Playhouse 91, Theatre East, published by Dramatic Publishing Company);

Sherlock Holmes and the Red-Headed League (Theatreworks USA at the Promenade Theatre, published by Samuel French, Inc.); Tiny Tim’s Christmas Carol (Brooklyn Academy of Music, and now the annual holiday show for the Pennsylvania Rep Company in the Poconos); Amos and Olga (Playhouse by the River)….. With collaborator John Scoullar, for the 50th anniversary of The Little Prince, they adapted the story into a musical starring Tony-winner Daisy Eagan at the Douglas Fairbanks Theatre Complex. Their adaptation is available as a play or musical in four different formats through Dramatic Publishing Company (www.dramaticpublishing.com). Rick’s incidental music scores for classic plays such as Death of A Salesman, The Glass Menagerie, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Taming of the Shrew, Sam Shepard’s Icarus’s Mother, and many others have been performed in New York, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Canada, and across the U.S……his music can be heard on the CDs of Varese-Sarabande’s Broadway Bound: New Writers for the Musial Theatre, Leahy Production’s That’s Life!, Dottie Burman’s I’m in Love With My Computer and When the Palm Trees Grow in Central Park. He has also written music and lyrics for children’s songs, industrials, and film. Rick is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, an alumnus of New York’s BMI/ Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, and a member of the Dramatists Guild and ASCAP.

Author: John Scoullar (1949-2011) wrote a wide spectrum of material from musicals to surrealist dramas. His musicals Canticle, about St. Francis of Assisi, and Finn McCool, both written with Joseph Kavanagh, have been performed at theaters around the country. Dramas Old Fashioned Bargain Days, and Fitzy and Bucko, have been performed in various playwrights series, including Playwrights Horizons in Manhattan. With Mr. Cummins he created a musical adaptation of The Little Prince, which starred Daisy Eagan off Broadway at the John Housman Theater, and which continues to be produced at major theaters in North America and was later adapted to be performed without singing.

Director: Susan D. Atkinson’s theatrical career spans 40 years of directing, producing, and teaching on both the east and west coasts. She has directed well over 150 plays and musicals in her career, including world and area premieres from such playwrights and composers as Doug Katsoras, Mark St. Germain, Dan Rustin, Michael Hickey and Larry Gatlin. For BRT, Ms. Atkinson has directed such shows as The Good Earth, Wintertime, Irma La Douce, Alive and Well, The Price, 110 in the Shade, A Sunbeam, Inspecting Carol, A Moon for the Misbegotten, Arsenic and Old Lace, A Little Night Music, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill, Holiday, Talley’s Folly and Proof.

Set Designer: Tom Gleeson is a recipient of the 2010 Princess Grace Award for his work in Theatre. Tom works in theatre, film, television, Dance, installations and events among other design related projects. Tom’s recent theatre work includes: The Little Prince (BRT,) The Three Penny Opera, Peter Pan (Arden Theatre Co.) Richard II (CSC,), Substitution (Playwrights Realm), Red Haired Thomas (Soho Think Tank), 100 Aspects of the Moon (Clubbed Thumb), Mayhem (SPF), FILM: Asst. Art Director, Sex and the City II (Warner Brothers). 5 Minutes (Amanda Selwyn Dance DTW) Production Designer, Resolve (Singularity Films); Production Designer, The Hollow Tree, (Cyprus Productions; Winner: Best Production Design/ Art Direction; First Run Film Festival, NYC.) Art Director, Cinemax has Crabs (HBO Promotion series, nominated for Best Art Direction, New York Festival). Costume Designer: Millie Hiibel recent designs include Uncle Vanya (Lantern Theater Company) and Three Sisters and Measure for Measure for the inaugural season of Temple Repertory Theater. Other: I Love You Because (off-Broadway); Edward Albee’s At Home At The Zoo (Philadelphia Theater Company); STORE and CAR (Anonymous Bodies); My Children, My Africa (Wilma Theater); Government Inspector (Lantern Theater Co.) She received 2007 and 2004 Barrymore nominations for Outstanding Costume Design, La Ronde (Lantern Theater) and Comedy of Errors (Lantern) respectively, and was a 2007 F. Otto Haas Emerging Artist finalist. A 2005 Independence Foundation Fellowship took her to Prague to study traditional marionettes. She currently teaches at University of Pennsylvania, Temple University and Moore College of Art and Design. MFA: Temple University. Love to her husband Dirk and their four fluffy kids.

Lighting Designer: Ryan O’Gara has designed extensively in the dance world for: American Ballet Theatre-ABT, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street 2, MOMIX, Ballet Hispanico, gloATL, Cedar Lake Ensemble, Dance Works-Chicago, Gus Giordano Jazz, Luna Negra Dance Theatre, Knuckle Heads Zoo and Black Violin at the New Victory Theatre, Revolution at the Joyce, and the Nike Rockstar Workout with Jamie King. Ryan’s theatre credits include designs seen at Bristol Riverside Theatre, NYU/Playwrights Horizons, Westbeth Theatre Center, David Straussman’s Dummy, Stephen Stahl’s Straight to Hell, and various designs for The Sonnet Repertory Company where Ryan was recently honored as the first recipient of their Annual Sonnet Award. On Broadway he has served as the Associate Lighting Designer for: Long Story Short, Lombardi, Million Dollar Quartet, All About Me, West Side Story (including 1st National), To Be or Not To Be, Cry Baby, Gypsy, In the Heights (including 1st National Tour), Xanadu (including Tokyo and 1st National Tour), LoveMusik and Avenue Q (including off-Broadway, London, Vegas and the National Tours). Sound Designer: William Neal’s sound design work has been featured in our recent productions of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Up, and The Foreigner, as well as in productions of The Taming of the Shrew, Julius Caesar, Lights and Music (Off-Bway) and What Happens to Women Here. His work as a Sound Engineer was most recently heard in our 20th anniversary revival of Maltby & Shire’s Closer Than Ever, as well as in productions of Troilus and Cressida, The Bomb-itty of Errors, Pinkalicious (Off-Bway), #9 (Off-Bway), I Have Been to Hiroshima Mon Amour, and Starmites. Her New York credits include: White’s Lies (New World Stages); Rutherford and Son, No Time for Comedy, The Charity That Began at Home (Mint Theater), and various works with the Barrow Group. Sara received her MFA from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Assistant Stage Manager: Maria Gray is a recent graduate of Ursinus College and a new member of Actor’s Equity. Maria’s favorite recent shows include: Voices of the People (PSM, Plays & Players), Grease (PSM, Gretna Theatre), Girls Night (PSM, Kimmel Center/Entertainment Events, Inc.). In addition to Stage Managing, Maria also works as an Electrician and General Stagehand for theaters and event companies in the Philadelphia and Delaware region. Production Manager: Patrick McMullen is a graduate of Stockton College with a B.A. in Theatre Production/Design. He has been awarded a Certificate of Merit, Irene Ryan Acting Nomination, and Region II Award for Excellence in Lighting Design from the Kennedy Center. He has worked as a Technical Director for The Atlantic City Ballet, The Voorhees Theatre Company, The Baldwin School, Ocean City Theatre Company, Owen J. Roberts High School, and America’s National Teenager Scholarship Organization.
