this a little later, but announcements help to eliminate those college-wide email messages that get sent – some of which aren’t relevant to you. With targeted announcements (that’s what personal and campus announcements are) you’ll get important information on your first screen – the information is targeted to you based on your roles at the College and it won’t clog up your email.)

• Read your email; send and receive relevant messages• Check your Calendar to review this week’s schedule• Access Administrative Services to review, maintain records

or process transactions (here’s where the link to Banner comes in. You’ll be able to look up your basic Human Resources record, for instance, to check your benefits, etc. or look up student information for a student you teach)

Security IssuesSecurity Issues• MoCoMotion provides a single sign-on to your E-mail,

Calendar, Courses, Banner, WebCT, etc.• Your session will automatically time-out after 2 hours of

inactivity (employees only)• Prior to the time-out, anyone can use your workstation

and access your systems unless you secure your PC (Think about the fact that your HR record is now open to someone using your station, or with a click of a mouse, they could send a message to anyone – as you!)

• You should configure your workstation with a passworded screensaver (Windows 95 and 98) or lock your station (Windows 2000, NT and XP)

• You should log out of MoCoMotion when you leave your workstation if you don’t have a passworded screensaver
