Afterwards,youwillvisitFortMcHenry. FortMcHenry isa starshaped fortbest
knownforitsroleintheWarof1812whenitsuccessfullydefendedBaltimoreHar
bor fromanattackby theBritishnavy in theChesapeakeBay. Itwasduring this
attackonthefortthatFrancisScottKeywas inspiredtowritethepoemTheStar
SpangledBanner,whichwaseventuallysettomusicandbecamethenationalan
themoftheUnitedStates.

placeofJohnCarroll,thefirstRomanCatholicBishopintheUnitedStates.
FinallyyoullvisitthePatuxentRuralLifeMuseums,locatedwithinthe7,000acrePatuxentRiverPark,acollection
ofmuseumsandfarmbuildingsdedicatedtopreservingtheheritageofsouthernPrinceGeorge'sCounty. Thisarea
