News Bulletin from the General Curia of the Congregation of the Mission

The world today needs this reign, this harmony among human beings, and thisharmony with nature. We Vincentians, believers in Jesus Christ, can be his instruments so that hisplan may have life. From our wealth as Family and from the particularity of each branch, we can bethe instruments of a God who has dreamed of a world where the values of his Lifes project becomereal. In this way, as his word says, the earth rejoices, for he reigns.

Brothers and sisters, let us welcome the reign of the Prince of Peace, whose coming we celebrate

every year. Let us make a commitment this year to join in working for the joy of the earth, that is tosay, when he really reigns. In this respect, our Family is privileged because his reign begins with theGood News for the poor, as the psalm says, he governs the poor with justice and the humble withrighteousness. How nice, brothers and sisters, that this is our work, that the poor may have life here the plan of God begins.

On my part and the part of all the members of the Curia here in Rome, we wish to say a Happy, avery Happy Christmas to you.

Christmas Message from the Superior General

The Lord comes to rule the earth, justice and right are the foundation ofhis throne. We sing this each year at the Christmas Vigil. Christians be-lieve that Jesus is the king of justice, despite the fact that our life does not

always reflect this. We believe that he is king of justice, but we do not al-ways walk by these principles.
