Good morning! When I was a child, I really dreamt of becoming the President of our country, for being one boasts of power, fame, and money. Deals on economy, politics, and international affiliations need the power of the President. Fame that makes you instant and global celebrity, institution on money matters depends primarily on the President. This is the vocation I sought and found. But, a BIG BUT at that, as I grew, my inkling to be the most powerful person in the country  – that is, the President has faded. Why? That truth of the matter lies in what is happening in our society. Let me put it this way, for one, corruption  – as the root of all evils, the source, and soul of poverty. Poverty that rusted and coated the veins of each Filipino through those manning the government, its people and the natural resources. Another, the emphatically rapid growing population making it difficult for the Government to keep up with the delivery of what are already deficient public services in health, education, water supply and sanitation. Finally, is the lack of education, which deals on knowledge, stability, and life. Those things changed my most wanted dream. Therefore, I decided to be an educator.

SOARING HIGH TO A GREATER FUTURE

“An educated man without ambition is as badly off as an ambitious man

without education.”

To our distinguished, panel of the board of judges, teachers, NTC

Community, my fellow orators, ladies and gentlemen. Good morning!

When I was a child, I really dreamt of becoming the President of our

country, for being one boasts of power, fame, and money. Deals on economy, politics,

and international affiliations need the power of the President. Fame that makes you

instant and global celebrity, institution on money matters depends primarily on the

President. This is the vocation I sought and found.

But, a BIG BUT at that, as I grew, my inkling to be the most powerful person

in the country  –  that is, the President has faded. Why? That truth of the matter lies in

what is happening in our society. Let me put it this way, for one, corruption  – as the root

of all evils, the source, and soul of poverty. Poverty that rusted and coated the veins of

each Filipino through those manning the government, its people and the natural

resources. Another, the emphatically rapid growing population making it difficult for the

Government to keep up with the delivery of what are already deficient public services in

health, education, water supply and sanitation. Finally, is the lack of education, which

deals on knowledge, stability, and life. Those things changed my most wanted dream.

Therefore, I decided to be an educator.

I firmly believe that educators are the “light” who enlighten and give

direction. Educators, indeed, are forever teachers. There are no professionals if there

are no educators. To educate the children properly is the big responsibility of educators

to reach the goal of our country  – an uncorrupted society at that, through producing a

good and clean governance. With educators as the anchor to the JOURNEY of soaring

high. A journey without guidance to its destiny is topsy-turvy.

Let us all face the reality, that education is the most effective and efficient

tool for reaching one’s goal, for building nation and promoting globalization to be a good

citizen of the world. Education has a vital role in realizing character growth, envisioning

desirable values and skills, equipping the youth to be productive and empowered, the

future generation in order to achieve excellence.

Other than that, school being an institution has the responsibility to train

educators, educators who will teach the next generations - the next generations who

maintained best and new ideas for the prosperity of this country  –  the Philippines. The

school has the big part to discipline a person and his well-being.

The National Teachers College on its 86th  founding anniversary soaring in

greater heights  has been and is the largest private teacher-training institution  –  an

advocate of would-be teachers and teachers; professionals who definitely are our future

leaders and comrades of global nations. Building careers in education, mass media,

science and technology, business and the arts. The National Teachers College,

definitely, acts as the deep foundation for teacher education courses and the like. Thus,

I, you, together and everyone here are deeply indebted to this institution for creating us,

Future Educators. Educators who are now working in this institution are the symbol of
